If you're an avid supporter of the supermovie rumor mill - obviously you are, why else would you have clicked on this - then you're already pretty aware that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is, supposedly, gonna be a veritable advent calendar of DC's villains, what with the murmurs of Doomsday, Darkseid and Brainiac joining Lex Luthor and the "red capes."

But some people aren't satisfied with the alleged 1,000 piece puzzle of villainy, and want to see the movie populated with even more evil. Normally this would be laughed off/trolled as overkill, but when the regular badass that is Tom Hardy wants to take on Batman & Superman as Bane, well... we listen.

In an interview with MTV, Hardy was asked whether he was interested in returning to the DC Extended Universe, and his reaction was pretty damn heartfelt...

Check it out:

All I can say to that is - yes, Tom. Imagine Bane strolling into frame and beating the living crap out of both Batman and Superman, as a kryptonite serum rages through his veins, making him stronger than we could possibly imagine.

That's just me speculating, but the gist of the above video - for those who can't watch - goes something like this...

After being asked the aforementioned question, a wide eyed Hardy asked whether Mad Max creator and auteur George Miller would be directing the Man of Steel sequel, to which he was told it was a mere rumor. Then something seemed to snap in his head, and out sprinted his inner child:

"Of course! I'm Bane! Somebody asked me, 'Who would I want to win out in a fight between Superman and Batman?’ And I would like to hold the pair of them under the water until the bubbles stop."
Superman be like "nice lift, Bat-bro!"
Superman be like "nice lift, Bat-bro!"

There is next to no chance that this will ever come to pass, seeing as Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy couldn't be any further removed from the DCEU, but if Tom Hardy is up for returning to a comic book role, Tom Hardy should get comic book role.

What do you think?
