(Warning - the following may contain major plot SPOILERS for Captain America: Civil War. Proceed with whatever level of caution your innate SPOILER-aversion dictates...)

Now, there are a whole lot of reasons to be excited about Captain America: Civil War - not least the fact that it's a movie about a superhero civil war, starring Captain America. Add in the prospect of Captain America and Iron Man wailing on one another for several minutes of screen-time, and the most ridiculously all-star Marvel cast yet, and you have yourself a pretty fundamentally exciting movie prospect.

With the film's release still the best part of a year away, however, some of the most intriguing elements of the movie are inevitably still being kept secret.

Secret, that is, unless you've been paying close attention to the sneaky behind-the-scenes glimpses of the movie we've seen thus far. Y'see:

The Behind-the-Scenes Images We've Seen So Far Make Captain America: Civil War Look AWESOME

What's more, they also might just tell us a whole lot about what to expect from the plot of the movie, too. Here, then, are four of the most intriguing...

First up?

4. Cap Takes on Crossbones

What it shows us: Along with a whole lot of other images, an epic set-piece battle between the new Avengers team and Brock 'Crossbones' Rumlow.

What it means for Civil War: Well, more than anything, that we're going to see Crossbones and Cap duke it out - suggesting the villain has gotten himself recruited by Baron Zemo and the last vestiges of Hydra. Plus, first act climax anyone?

3. Cap Says Goodbye to Peggy

What it shows us: Cap, The Falcon and Sharon Carter attending a funeral - which was soon revealed to be Peggy Carter's

What it means for Civil War: Well, firstly, that Peggy Carter will sadly be shuffling off this mortal coil. It also, however, suggests that Cap will finally be able to move on - albeit presumably with Peggy's immediate relative Sharon.

2. Falcon and The Winter Soldier Go Running

What it shows us: Falcon and the Winter Soldier running, in Berlin.

What it means for Civil War: Well, aside from confirming (before that recent promo art leak) that the Winter Soldier will indeed be teaming up with Cap, it also suggests that the duo could, in comic-book-established fashion, be set to team-up in the near future (perhaps after the possible death of a certain Star-Spangled Avenger?).

And, finally:

1. The Black Panther Arrives

What it shows us: The Black Panther, hanging around with Cap and Bucky in Berlin.

What it means for Civil War: Well, aside from seemingly confirming that The Black Panther really will have a substantial role in the movie, as opposed to having been relegated to a small supporting role by the arrival of Spider-Man, it also gives us a pretty major hint that BP might just be on the hunt for Hydra (or possible Bucky) himself...

What do you reckon, though?
