Aquaman is turning out to be a very important characters in the new DC Extended Universe as he is confirmed to be in [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) and rumored to make a cameo in Suicide Squad.
Aquaman in Suicide Squad?
While the Comic Con Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad trailers gave us a lot one of the things, they didn't give us was anything about Aquaman aka Arthur Curry; who will be played by Jason Momoa. Yet some point to the water scene in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer as a possible Aquaman reference.
Clearly we can see why this may be considered a Aquaman reference. However, it's still very little to go on and fans still have questions about Aquaman. Honestly, who could blame fans for wanting to know more about this character in this new DC Extended Universe after the director Zack Snyder released an official picture of the King of the Seven Seas.
With such a Bad Ass reveal of Aquaman fans are starting to wonder what exactly they can expect from King Arthur in this new DC Extended Universe. Recently, Jason Momoa did an exclusive interview at Fan Expo Canada 2015. Jason revealed as much as he could without being taken out by a hired sniper by Warner Bros. But one of the interesting reveals that he seemed adamant about was that Aquaman is no joke and nothing to joke about.
The reveal that Aquaman is not going to be telling jokes is awesome. There is nothing more disappointing than to see a comic book character that is historically a serious character be reduced to comic relief. And the reconfirmation that the plan for Aquaman in this new DC Extended Universe is to make him be as bad ass as he looks in the official reveal is a relief. Especially when you consider that a plan is already in placed for a Aquaman solo movie in 2018 which will be after Justice League Part 1 and before Justice League Part 2. So obviously the solo Aquaman movie will play a vital part in connecting the Justice League movies. But what are your thoughts on Jason's exclusive interview and what he had to share about Aquaman? Are you still concerned with the negative stigma that goes alone with Aquaman? Please share your thoughts below.
