Doesn't everyone remember the time when it was announced that Scream was going to become a T.V. series for MTV? So many questions were needing answers such as: Will the original trio (Campbell, Arquette and Cox) be a part of it? Will the same mask be used? Will Kevin Williamson be writing it? And most importantly, will Wes Craven (R.I.P.) be a part of it? These are all questions that many of us fans needed answers to. Fortunately and unfortunately, some of the answers to these were yes and some were no. Wes Craven took on the role as an Executive Producer along with Bob and Harvey Weinstein, who produced all four of the films. The next question was, would the show be a continuation of the original franchise?

As it turns out, the show strayed away from the movie franchise and started fresh with new characters in a new town.

What starts as a YouTube video going viral soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewood and serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town's troubled past.

If you are like me and you love the entire Scream franchise, then you at least had to give this show a chance. Many either loved it or jumped ship after the first episode. Personally, myself, I enjoyed it; although still a bit skeptical of what the show had to offer, I decided that I'd tag along with it until the very end. Now, I can easily say that I'm painfully waiting for the second season to air on May 30th. Until then, us fans have a brand new trailer for season 2 that was released a week ago as well as the first season now on DVD!

The complete first season of MTV's Scream has finally hit stores today! If you haven't seen the first season, you can now binge watch the entire ten episodes back to back in your home with a bowl of popcorn and large soda.

The DVD set contains all ten episodes as well as a gag reel, deleted scenes and a promotional gallery!

Be sure to check out the first season before May 30th for the premiere of season 2! If you have NOT seen the first season, then DO NOT watch the trailer for season 2 posted below because it contains SPOILERS!
