Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to showcase the greatest showdown in cinematic history: the Caped Crusader vs the Man of Steel! But we know that by the film's end, the two will be best buddies, so that brings up a very obvious question. How in the world are they going to go from this...

...to this?!

Okay, so maybe they won't be sharing a latte, but still, you get the general idea. How are these two going to go from beating one another senseless to working together to take down the real villains, namely Lex Luthor and his band of maniacal minions? Well, let's look at what we know. For starters, at the film's beginning, the Dark Knight is pretty ticked off at Superman, and not just because a Wayne Financial building was caught in the crossfire of his fight with Zod. Superman's battle wiped out nearly half the city and caused roughly $700 billion worth of damage, (not to mention the $2 trillion in economic fallout), while casualties reached a staggering approximate 2 million, with around 129,000 fatalities, a million or so wounded more or less severely, and another quarter million remaining unaccounted for. All this adds up to be a pretty serious reason to be more than a little upset with the Big Blue Boy Scout. In my opinion, what will finally cause Batman to realize that Superman is truly here to help will be in the final confrontation. Lex will send Doomsday against Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, with Superman heroically sacrificing himself to save Batman in some form or another as a thank-you to the Dark Knight for rescuing him from Metallo. Then, Batman will grudgingly admit that he was wrong about Superman and the two will shake hands and part as unlikely allies. Batman will be asked by the government to start the Justice League, and Superman will fly off to the Fortress of Solitude to live a life of exile because the government wants no more to do with him. But then, in the Justice League feature film, Batman will realize how desperate the situation is, call Superman for backup, and the government will reluctantly allow him to join the Justice League.
