Legend opened here in the UK yesterday, and I think it's safe to say that the trailer really did deliver, and made the film look absolutely spectacular, and Tom Hardy along with it.
However, this film is not a masterpiece, which is by no means a bad thing at all, as this film is pretty damn good. And Tom Hardy is a stand-out in this crime thriller. He accesses so many levels of such unlikable characters, and even reaches Ronnie Kray's vulnerable side!
Here's my full review:
So as you can see, it's a very good movie, but that's where it ends for me. It suffers from a flawed narrative, leaving you feeling distant at times from the story instead of riveted.
The film may be slow at times, but Hardy cannot be denied some Oscar attention for his work here.
Not quite Legendary, but pretty darn good.
