So the long awaited Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is getting closer and closer to us as 2015 goes on and with the rumours and speculation that has been flying around from every corner of the internet, it's hard to keep tabs of just what is true and what is a whole load of nuts.

Hopefully this post will keep you up to date with just what the movie will hopefully entail!

What we know so far!

Okay so the first thing that I heard and I'm assuming you guys did to, was just how Batman (Ben Affleck) got involved in the whole Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod escapade. It was assumed in the actual fight in Man of Steel, the entire showdown was limited to JUST Metropolis, but Snyder has actually confirmed that Gotham City and Metropolis are actually sister cities that are separated by just a bay! But this still doesn't explain Batman's involvement, well unless you've been living under a rock and you haven't watched the trailer for Dawn Of Justice, the answer is right in front of you. During the big showdown between the two, they manage to destroy pretty much all of the city. Including the scene where General Zod uses his laser vision against Kal-El and slices straight through a building. Well, turns out, that was in Gotham and who was there to witness it? None other than Bruce Wayne!

He then runs into the cloud of dust and ash to go and rescue a little girl who can't run fast enough to avoid the destruction.

He looks pretty mad...
He looks pretty mad...

Now the Wayne Tower gets completely decimated in the trailer and what looks like the Joker (or his handwriting anyway), mocks Batman for this and fuels his anger.

Now, it's pretty clear Bruce is going to feel like Superman being on earth is a very bad idea, so he's going to do something about it.

"He has the power to wipe out the human race, and I must destroy him." - Bruce Wayne

Wonder Woman is here to kick ass!

So in the trailer, we see Diana Prince fight- actually, its not quite clear who/what she's fighting! There has been speculation about it being Doomsday but it is still unclear! Unfortunately, the scene isn't long enough for it to be clear but we do get to see her smash together her wrist guards to cause a huge shock wave (Which if you're a big fan of the comics, you'd know that they're strong enough to stun even the strongest of foes).

Lex Luthor Has Kryptonite?!?!

Now this is one hell of a game changer!!! Superman's weakness at the hands of his arch-enemy! Does this mean that Luther is on Batman's side?! If so then Superman is well and truly screwed. Rumours have circulated that Luther will provide Batman with the material in order to pit the two against each other for his own personal gain. I mean, if two of Earth's strongest heroes have caused mass destruction, the people will lose faith in them and who do they turn to? The billionaire with the equipment and material to shut down both heroes. How will Superman do up against a Batman with a suit laced in Kryptonite?

This is THE gateway movie to début the Justice League

So it's well known that the Justice League will form after this movie and I have a slight feeling that DC might do it in a very Marvel way. Remember how at the end of pretty much every marvel movie Nick Fury would amble in and mention the Avengers Initiative and then you'd see the hero agree to join? I have a feeling thats exactly what will happen here. In fact I think that Superman and Batman will team up in the movie, especially after I found the synopsis f the movie on Warner Bros site;

"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day saviour, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs," the synopsis reads. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."

Does this mean we'll see Superman, Batman and Wonderwoman unite to defeat this ominous danger? What made me question the formation of the Justice League was the promo poster for Aqua Man, played by Jason Momoa.

Now "Unite The Seven" Could literally just be the Seven Seas, or if you read into things way too much like I do, it could mean the seven members of the Justice League; Superman, Batman, Cyborg, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and possibly Robin or Night Wing seeing as there has been no actual trace of Green Lantern since the shambles of a movie that Ryan Reynolds starred in.

So there you have it, all I have time to type up about but if you notice any errors or even have anything to add, don't hesitate to comment!!

Who do you think will "win" the fight?
