He may have played a character in a horror-drama show, but life very quickly imitated art for an actor from The Walking Dead. 25-year-old Kathryn Boykin has been sentenced to 10-years probation for stalking Walking Dead actor Daniel May, and his wife Rachel May.

Boykin began stalking the actor and his wife back in 2006, after seeing him in a stage performance. However it was after May started appearing on The Walking Dead in 2012 that the intensity of the stalking increased.

May will be familiar to fans of The Walking Dead from his role in Season 3 playing the character of Allen, who belonged to a group of survivors which included Ben, Tyreese and Sasha. At first Allen and his group took shelter in the prison, but Rick soon decides they can't stay, and causes hostility when he yells at a hallucination of Lori to leave, but Allen and Ben mistakenly believe he was yelling at them. After being discovered by Andrea and Milton, Allen and the group head to Woodbury and join forces with the Governor to attack the prison. Unfortunately in the Season 3 finale when the Woodbury Army wants to retreat, the Governor responded by firing on his own people, and Allen is shot dead.

WSBTV reports that Boykin created several media accounts to stalk and harass the actor and his wife, including falsely accusing Daniel May of "a variety of crimes" as well as "spread lies about the couple."

Despite the Mays asking Boykin to stop, she would not, and at that point the couple filed a protective order against her. Boykin was arrested after breaching the restraining order in December 2013. In addition to her sentence of 10-years probation, she is also permanently restrained from having contact with the Mays, and is not allowed to use the internet during her 10-year sentence. Boykin must also maintain mental health medication and treatment.
