DC has done wonders for superhero television shows with their success with Arrow and The Flash, and they are looking to further their success by slating two more upcoming shows: Supergirl and [DC's Legends of Tomorrow](tag:2937021). While Supergirl looks like it will be set in a world of it's own, Legends of Tomorrow will be tied in with the Arrow and Flash universes.

Legends of Tomorrow will feature many characters that have appeared in both Arrow and The Flash, including Atom, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave. Along with those characters, classic DC comic characters Hawkman (played by Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (played by Ciara Renée) have also joined the cast.

As the show has recently started filming, we finally get our first look at the new heroes, all dressed up in fighting garb.

Both of their outfits look of similar design to both the Arrow's outfit and the Flash's with specially designed tactical leather. both of their helmets look identical to the characters in the comics, and Hawkman's signature mace also looks pretty lethal.

One thing that seems to be missing is their wings. Hawkman and Hawkgirl are both known for their ability to fly with giant white wings, that we really can't see in the image above. We can see a peek of a sort of winged design on Hawkgirl's shoulders, but the detail seems to be simply decorative.

It is likely that their wings could perhaps be folded up, like Falcon's mechanical wings in Captain America: Civil War or Angel's wings in X-Men: The Last Stand. Either that, or the wings will be digitally edited in later.

Other than the temporary lack of wings, the outfits look pretty impressive. Both characters look very battle-ready, and I'm excited to see what they can add to the group when they finally debut on Legends of Tomorrow.

Both Hawkman and Hawkgirl are set to appear in the Arrow/Flash crossover episode before joining the Legends of Tomorrow as regular characters.

Legends of Tomorrow is currently being filmed and is set to come out in early 2016.
