So far, with the exception of Raina, all the Inhumans introduced into [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](tag:722469) have been ridiculously attractive. Showrunners Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon are well aware of that fact, which is why they plan on addressing it in season 3.

Speaking to EW, they confirmed that the Inhuman Lash (Matthew Willig) would be making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he'd be a far cry from the powerful but beautiful Inhumans we've seen thus far:

WHEDON: I would just say that we’re doing our own take on it. There will be some elements from the comics for sure, but as we always do, we want people to not know what’s coming, so we’re changing it up a little bit.

TANCHAROEN: And on a very basic level, we were interested in putting a monster in the mix, because he is not human and his looks are pretty crazy and scary. We wanted to put our team up against something like that.

WHEDON: We have two Inhumans [Bennet and Luke Mitchell] who are regulars on our show, and they both are fairly attractive.

TANCHAROEN: They look like they can be on the cover of Vogue.

WHEDON: Right. It looks like if they had a baby together, that baby would rule the planet. We want to also show the other side of the change that bad things can happen.

And they're right. In the comics, not all the Inhumans are attractive. Like the mutant world of the X-Men, some of them are quite monstrous in appearance. Will we be seeing even more Inhumans this season? Whedon and Tancharoen confirmed that there is a definite possibility, which, in industry speak, means, "Yes, but we're not allowed to say anything yet."

In addition to the Inhumans, they also cautioned fans that the buildup to Daisy Johnson's Secret Warriors would be a slow burn throughout the season, but that we'd have a few new blossoming romances (*gives Daisy and Lincoln the side eye*) forming while we wait.

But really, all I want to know is...What the hell happened to Simmons?!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 returns Tuesday, September 29 on ABC.
