Halloween is just around the corner and we thought it would be great to hear some interesting facts about your favorite thrillers. We get into the behind the scenes of some of these iconic horror movies and find out they`re deepest darkest secrets.

Scream`s Ghostface

1. Scream

In the famous Wes Craven series 'Scream' the actors were not allowed to see the actor/voice 'Roger L. Jackson' who played the iconic 'Ghostface'. Jackson would hide one set and then make those creepy phone calls which were featured in the film. The actors and actress never knew where Jackson would be and it would add to the suspense of the movie or so Wes Craven thought.

2 . Candyman

The famous actor 'Tony Todd' had actual live bees in his mouth during the filming of 'Candyman'. Luckily for him he had a mouth guard in at the time so the bees didn't go down his throat or even sting him.

I'll be honest that would not be me.

3. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

This horror classic wasn't always named what it is. 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' had another original tittle which was called 'Head Cheese'.

We're glad they changed it. I don't think a movie called 'Head Cheese' would have been as popular as 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' is.

Night of the living dead seemed to go cheap on their props. For blood they had used chocolate syrup instead of fake blood. In my opinion how did the chocolate syrup look like blood? Wouldn't it be brown instead of red?

'Halloween' was also one of those movies who went through a ton of tittles before they settled on 'Halloween'. One of the original names were for 'Halloween' was 'The Babysitter Murders'. They're reason for changing the name was so they could have the movie take place all in one day.

6. Candyman

'Candyman' has a few things that most people didn't know about. Another thing that most people don't know about this movie is that Eddie Murphy was considered to star as the lead role in 'Candyman'.

7. Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Just like 'Candyman', 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' also has a few things that most people didn't know about it. This was one thing I found amusing about this movie was, 'Leatherface' who was played by 'Gunnar Hansen' had to wear three-inch high heels so he would be taller than the other cast members and also so he would be more intimidating. The only disadvantage about wearing these heels is that it would make chase scenes so much harder.

I find it hard enough to walk in heels let alone to run in heels.

I have heard of how long it takes for a movie to be done and sometimes it can take up to 2 years just to get a movie into making (I could be wrong). But 'The Blair Witch Project' took only eight days to film. Wow.

I myself have a fear of clowns especially Pennywise the clown but I do pity the people who worked on set with him. Most of the cast and crew members were afraid to be around Tim Curry aka. Pennywise the clown. It had gotten so bad that they had tried to avoid him every chance they got.

I don't blame them. I would too.

10. Scream

Scream is also one of those movies that have a few secrets that most people don`t know about. Like this one, most people don`t know this but Molly Ringwald was offered the lead role in Scream.

I wonder why she didn`t take it.

11. Friday the 13th

Who here remember`s the famous "Chi, Chi, Chi; Ha, Ha, Ha" from `Friday the 13th` well it actually doesn`t say "`Chi, Chi, Chi; Ha, Ha, Ha" it really says "Ki, Ki, Ki; Ma, Ma, Ma" which is suppose to be Jason saying "Kill, Kill, Kill; Mom, Mom, Mom" because his mother believed that she could hear Jason whispering in her ear telling her to kill.

I would say she`s just crazy.

The king of horror himself even has a little bit of fear of his own work. According to Stephen King he said the only book that has ever truly scared him was his own book Pet Cemetery. If Stephen King finds it`s scary it must be scary.

13. The Ring

A lot of movies have offered famous celebrity's different parts to movies. For example Jennifer Love Hewitt was offered the lead role in The Ring. Once again they didn`t take it and we were entertained by others.

14. Chucky

Chucky`s real name is actually Charles Lee Ray. Which means Chucky is named after three famous killer`s, Whose names are Charles Manson, Lee Harvey Oswall, and James Earl Ray. Chucky was a natural born killer.

Wow, I would never name my child after killer`s.

Poltergeist

15. Poltergeist

Is a famous known horror movie. The movie is very much cursed and haunted. They have used real skeletons as props instead of plastic ones; they thought it would be cheaper. People tend to believe that`s the reason the movie is haunted. I`m pretty sure everyone already knows this but four actors have died on set because of this movie.

I would never ever try to attempt to remake this movie.

Freddy Krugger

16. A Nightmare on Elm Street

We all know Wes Craven got the idea of Freddy Kruger from his nightmares but did anyone really know where Wes got the name Freddy Kruger. Well Wes Craven had actually gotten the name from someone who used to bullied him back in the day.

Dark much.

Psycho

17. Psycho

Most people don`t know this but Psycho was the first movie in America to show a flushing toilet.

18. Scream

Scream has many secrets just like the other horror movies but this has a kind of ironic secret. Scream was originally named Scary Movie which also happens to be the name of the movie that makes fun of Scream.

19. IT

In the movie IT the red hair that Pennywise the clown has is actually Tim Curry`s real hair.

20. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Most people didn`t know this about this movie but in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre they had actually used real blood instead of fake blood. The two scariest questions about this movie is, `Who`s blood is this? And where did they get it?`.
