Now I know Halloween is over a month away but I thought I'd start a little ongoing series of the favorite Halloween characters ever existed and to start things off, I'll begin with my personal favorite monsters: The Werewolf.

Now over time there have been many types of werewolves, and not only in the movies. In video games, Novels, TV Shows and probably even in some weird foreign TV advert that i'm not familiar with but nonetheless werewolves have always been around and though not as popular as vampires, they're still up the list on the most badass monsters ever! So on my countdown I won't be doing just movies as they're many more werewolves out there and feel free to comment below on your favorite half human, half wolves, but please take into consideration that this of personal choice so I don't want anyone getting sassy otherwise I'll find you on a full moon and turn into a werewolf and eat you!

Sorry got carried away there...So without further ado, Let the countdown Begin!!

10. Shaggy (Scooby-Doo and The Reluctant Werewolf)

If you were born in the 80's/90's you would have seen this movie(Hopefully) When Dracula loses his werewolf for a big race involving all the monsters, Shaggy gets turned into one and must win the race in order to get turned back. So as he's not the most threatening werewolf ever, I have given him the number 10 spot.

9. Michael Jackson (Thriller)

Now to be honest, he looks more like a brown lion than a werewolf, but never the less he still makes the top 10, this werewolf featured in the extended music video for Thriller, in which MJ takes his girl to the movie and then ends turning into a werewolf, and then further events progress and he turns into a zombie, but that's all for another time and is far to confusing to try and explain, So number 9 goes to the king of pop!

8. Sonic The Hedgehog (Sonic Unleashed)

Back in 2008 which would've made me 13, this game got me very excited and I don't mean sexually. every time I got home from school I would turn my Xbox 360 straight on and play this till my head hurt. In this game you play the famous character Sonic in which you have to align the earth back together by going to each country and doing some levels where you play as a hedgehog by day which are the typical running levels and by night, where you take control of the werehog and play a more beat em up style game which at the time was an awesome change for the sonic games! Which is why Sonic The Hedgehog takes the number 8 spot.

7.Scott McCall(Teen Wolf-Movie version)

Number 7 on my list is the movie version of Scott McCall in the film Teen Wolf, where Teenager Scott an awkward loser who can't play basketball very well, discovers he has the werewolf gene in his family, so now he is able to turn at will, now with new found talent he is able to play basketball like a pro (similar story to Tenn Wolf 2 but i'm not going there) So this comedic take on werewolf grabs the number 7 spot.

6: George(Being Human)

This BBC 3 television programme started back in 2008 and was about a ghost, vampire and werewolf all living together and was amazing, they even made an American adaptation for all you US citizens out there so if you haven't seen it check it out. Now the character George was the type of person who you'd least expect to be a werewolf which is why it made it seem so authentic and why it takes the number 6 spot.

5: Professor Lupin(Harry Potter)

This one moves!
This one moves!

Now although this is not your typical type of werewolf, being it looks incredibly skinny and no bulging muscles, I think that's what gives it that creepier edge. This werewolf featured in Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Askaban in both book and film. The reason I gave it the number 5 spot was because of the story behind it: Four friends. Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, James Potter and Peter Pettigrew whom all attended Hogwarts, and because Lupin was a werewolf, his friends all became animagi in order to help Lupin during the transformation so he can keep him calm. Potter became a stag, Black became a dog and Pettigrew became a rat and they went under the names of Moony (Lupin), Wormtail (Pettigrew), Padfoot (Black) and Prongs (Potter)

4: David Kessler (An American Werewolf In London)

Although this movie came out back in 1981 it still features one of the best werewolf transformation scenes of all time which is remarkable considering we didn't have the technology back then as we do now. This movie starts with two friends who are travelling the world and stop off in England and when lost in the fields a werewolf attacks them both, killing on and scarring the other, and when his dead friend comes back to haunt him saying that he now is a werewolf and that he must die in order for his dead friend to move on, but when he turns on the full moon he kills a bunch of people and now there soul are trapped too, the movie goes on with a naked man stealing a kids balloons at the zoo and conversation with a skeleton at a porn cinema and ends with a dead werewolf with the song Blue Moon sung by The Marcels playing in the credits, a bunch of other weird shit also happens, so Number 4 goes to An American Werewolf in London.

3: Derek Hale(Teen Wolf The Series)

Onto another featured in the TV version based on the movie Teen Wolf (Which is completely different by the way) I have chosen Derek Hale as my number 3 werewolf which may shock you as I haven't chosen Scott, this is because I personally feel Derek made a much more badass werewolf than Scott and because he was the Alpha who turned Scott into one in the first place. Teen wolf is much different from the movie. One: They play lacrosse instead of basketball and Two: It's a much more darker take on the story, which only makes it more awesome and why its my number 3.

2: Van Helsing(Van Helsing)

Number 2 goes to Van Helsing himself, a monster hunter who must destroy an evil vampire and gets turned into a werewolf in the process. Reasons why he has taken the number 2 spot are because he is fricken Hugh Jackman! AKA Wolverine and 2 because he is badass and beats the crap out of a vampire. Did i mention he is Hugh Jackman!

And now the moment of truth, My favorite werewolf of all time goes to....

1: Bigby Wolf (The Wolf Among Us)

That's right! The werewolf himself Bigby Wolf and I'm not only just talking about the Telltale version of him, I'm talking about the fable behind it. This werewolf featured in many fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs and was feared by many until they all came to the human world and in this time the big bad wolf (AKA Bigby Wolf), became a detective and changed his ways, although still not trusted by many, he tried to bring justice back to all fairy tale people now living as one of us! Reasons I have given this to him is because the big bad wolf has been around for centuries, a lot longer than any movie werewolf and was most likely inspiration for some, also The Wolf Among Us is till one of my favorite games I have ever played and playing as Bigby Wolf himself was so much fun so hat's off to you Bigby Wolf for grabbing the number 1 spot!

Hope you liked my Top 10 countdown and please feel free to comment below you're favorite werewolf, if you'd like to see another Top 10 countdown, comment below on what I should do next! Peace Out!
