So about a week ago I posted an article rebooting the entire MCU. The rules were pretty much that Marvel could used any characters they want (Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man, FF, etc.). MCU actors can appear as different character, but they can not reprise their role. Here's Phase 1.

So without further ado, let's get things started.

Storm/Zoe Saldana

That's right, with an X-Men sequel happening, we have to have more mutants right?! Storm is definitely a step in the right direction, and I can't think of anyone better than Zoe Saldana to portray her. You may be familiar with Saldana from Avatar or her performance as Gamora in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.

Nightcrawler/Tom Felton

The next X-Man is a fan favorite in Nightcrawler. Tom Felton could be perfect for this role (granted if he can put on a German accent). However, I believe the Harry Potter star has the "impish" kind of look Nightcrawler needs, as well as the actin capabilities.

Colossus/Alan Ritchson

Alan Ritchson, being a staggering 6' 2" would be a great choice to play everybody's favorite Russian. I was going back and forth between Ritchson and Kellan Lutz, but ultimately went with the Blue Mountain State due to his experience with motion capture (which would be needed for when Colossus turns metal) on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Rogue/Scarlett Johansson

The Avengers' Black Widow is going to be joining up with our X-Men as Rogue! Rogue hasn't always been portrayed well on screen, and that is not necessarily the fault of Anna Paquin. However, I think Scarlett Johansson is one of the best actresses out there today and she could do justice to the southern bell.

Namor, the Sub-Mariner/Zachary Quinto

Who's to say we can't see Namor show up in a Fantastic Four sequel? And for this to happen, I believe Zachary Quinto is the perfect candidate. I literally can't even think of anyone else to portray the Sub-Mariner. The Heroes and Star Trek star not only has acting ability, but he freaking looks like Namor!

Hawkeye/Justin Hartley

Call this one a cop out if you want, but Justin Hartley would be a great fit for the role of Hawkeye. Smallville aside, Hartley has the look and has shown his acting ability on other shows like Revenge. He's not a huge name either, so it would work for a B level Avenger like Hawkeye.

Black Widow/Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron definitely has the beauty to play the bombshell that is Black Widow. Fans may complain about her height, but I really don't think it's a big deal. Regardless, they could digitally make her look shorter the same way they make Tom Cruise look taller in his movies.

Star-Lord/James Franco

Yes, the Guardians still get a movie in the reboot! I couldn't think of anyone better than James Franco to play Star-Lord (well besides Chris Pratt of course). Franco, however, has the acting ability to get serious when he needs to be, but can definitely play comedically as seen in many movies including This Is The End and Pineapple Express.

Gamora/Adrianne Palicki

I'm going to preface this by saying I think Zoe Saldana was phenomenal as Gamora and I could not imagine a recast. That said, if one were to happen a serious argument could be said for Adrianne Palicki. She's an ass kicker. Watch her on Agents of SHIELD as Mockingbirg and you'll know that. She would bring justice to the Gamora character.

Drax/Dwayne Johnson

Yes, I understand the irony that Drax is being recast with another former wrestler, but who else would have that hulking body that the destroyer does? Dave Bautista did a phenomenal job with his performance, but The Rock is one of the biggest names in Hollywood right now and would be a step up for sure.

Rocket Raccoon/Seth Green

Not exactly Bradley Cooper, but he doesn't need to be. All you need is a great voice actor to play Rocket and Seth Green is definitely one of the most skilled voice actors we have. He's done great things on projects such as Family Guy, Robot Chicken, and ironically played Rocket on Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of SMASH. Not only this, but he voice Howard the Duck in the post credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Groot/James Earl Jones

Quite possibly the biggest voice actor of all time, James Earl Jones has done the voices of legends such as Darth Vader and Mufasa. Who better to say the now iconic line, "I am Groot."?

Black Panther/Michael Jai White

Michael Jai White would be the BEST Black Panther. Not only is the dude a good actor, but he can legit fight. He'll know how to make the fight scenes look real and he will do his own stunts. He also has superhero movie experience when he played in Spawn and was Bronze Tiger in Arrow.

Daredevil/Stephen Amell

I'm just going to say it, the Green Arrow would be an outstanding Daredevil. Amell clearly can play the dark vigilante with no powers and fights on the streets. In many ways, his portrayal of Oliver Queen on Arrow thus far can be compared a lot to Daredevil. I loved Marvel's Netflix run of Daredevil, but I do think Amell could do great with the role as well.

Scarlet Witch/Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt is a great actress. As great as Elizabeth Olsen was in Age of Ultron I think Blunt would bring a whole different spin to Wanda Maximoff. There would be an added sense of maturity. She also has the action experience from movies like Edge of Tomorrow and Looper.

Quicksilver/Jensen Ackles

I know the fangirls are going to love this one, but I truly do believe Jensen Ackles would be a good Quicksilver. Sure fans fell in love with Evan Peters and were heartbroken when Aaron Taylor-Johnson died, but Jensen Ackles has the potential to make a better Quicksilver than both men.

Sabretooth/Jason Momoa

Tell me Jason Momoa isn't already pretty much Sabretooth. No other actor, in my opinion, would bring a more accurate portrayal. If you wanna look at Momoa's acting credentials he is best known for Drago on Game of Thrones and he is about to play Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and in Justice League.

Doctor Octopus/Mark Hamill

If you tell me that Mark Hamill doesn't look exactly like Doc Ock then you're just a liar. Mark Hamill looks exactly like Otto Octavius. Not only that, he could bring so much character. Hamill can clearly play a sadistic villain (Joker in almost any Batman animated cartoon, movie, or game).

Ultron/Josh Brolin

I know people will be quick to say Josh Brolin as Ultron is a cop out because he's voicing Thanos right now in the MCU. To that I say it's just a coincidence. Brolin just has the dark and intimidating voice that could bring the robotic Ultron to life. James Spader was amazing as well, but if it has to be recast Brolin is definitely the way to go.

Ronan the Accuser/Idris Elba

Now this one might be a little out of left field, but hear me out. Idris Elba is slowly becoming one of the greatest actors of our time. He's shown he can be a big thunderous force as Heimdall in Thor. He also proved his range in No Good Deed. I do believe Idris Elba could perfect Ronan the Accuser in a reboot.

Bullseye/Jason Statham

This one was fairly easy because literally everyone already wants to see Jason Statham do Bullseye. Statham is just so believable as the bad guy it's scary. Who wouldn't want to see him clashing with Daredevil on screen?!

So there you have it, I did my phase 2 recast. I really enjoy doing these so let me know in the comments which were your favorite and if you wanna see me do phase 3! Tell me if you have any character requests too!

UPDATE: Phase 3 is ready!
