As Donald Trump has started his presidential run in earnest, some people have wondered what would become of his hosting duties on Celebrity Apprentice. I'm not one of those people, but still, there are those out there who have been wondering.

Well, wonder no more. Because NBC has announced who will be taking up the mantle of host: None other than Arnold Schwarzenegger will replace Trump for at least this upcoming season and perhaps beyond.

NBC alternative programming chief Paul Telegdy is giddy with the news:

We are thrilled to be opening a powerful new chapter in the story of the Apprentice franchise. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves. It was Arnold’s personal passion for the format that Mark Burnett and Donald Trump built over the last decade, as well as his fresh take on how to take it to new heights for today’s audiences, that made him the man to hire. The Celebrity Apprentice … will be back!

Reality shows are absolutely not my thing, but I can't deny that NBC gave itself a major upgrade with swapping out Trump for Schwarzenegger.

Celebrity Apprentice returns January 4th to NBC.
