Moviepilot creator, Mike Mack, started the 5 Day Movie Challenge, and it was a huge success with our creators. Since everyone was excited to share their personal experiences and opinions about movies and TV, I thought I'd shake it up a little bit. I want to start another challenge: The 5 Day Gaming Challenge.
Starting from today, I challenge you to tell us your favorite gaming stories and opinions. The categories for this challenge are as follows:
Day 1: Game that brings on gamer rage
Day 2: Best multiplayer game
Day 3: Longest binge on one game
Day 4: Game you play over and over
Day 5: Game that should get re-released/ get a sequel
To start, I'm nominating these 5 Moviepilot creators to join in this challenge:
Alright so, I'll go first then!
A video game that brings me rage every time is : Every first person shooter
I'm generally pretty decent at FPS games on PC. However, I am not very good at them on Xbox. The best I could really do was throw grenades and run around shooting aimlessly.
Eventually, I did get used to the controller and got way better but it never stopped me from raging. There is just something so infuriating about when a guy cheap shots you with a noob combo or when the game lags and the next thing you know, you're dead and have no idea why. Gah!
For a long time I played a free FPS game on PC called Combat Arms. I had a clan and everything. Everyone always loved to snipe but I was the other guy. The guy that sneaks around killing the snipers. There is nothing I loved more than sneaking up on a sniper and getting a head-shot with a knife (because you can do that in games apparently).
The reason I picked off snipers? They made me rage! What's the point in playing a game if you're going to just boringly camp out in one spot picking people off? Isn't it more fun to just charge around and strategically kill off your opponents instead? So eventually after being picked off so many times I turned my gaming rage into something productive... Killing snipers.
Now, I do the same for all games. Whenever something starts to make me rage, I learn how to take it out first. In World of Warcraft, it was gnome rogues. I got ganked one too many times and I had no mercy on them since! In Magic the Gathering, it was black decks. I have had enough of their nonsense!
So, the lesson to be learned here, don't make me rage!
