Here we go!

Super Mario is undeniably the biggest name in the world of video games. Sure, Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty sell tens of millions of games with every released installment, but at the end of the day, everyone knows who Super Mario is.

This year, Nintendo will be celebrating Mario's 30th anniversary with the release of Super Mario Maker for the WiiU. As an added bonus, Super Mario creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, has released a video where he takes a minute to answer some of the biggest fan theories surrounding this gaming mega icon. Ever wondered who the mother of Bowser Jr. is? Here're some of the best answers from the video:

Is Mario named after Nintendo of America warehouse landlord Mario Segale?

Can you see the resemblance?

Does Mario die on the cover of the original Mario Bros. cover?

Was Super Mario Bros. 3 all a performance?

Super Mario Bros. 3 is arguably the greatest Mario game of all time. Over the years, fans have speculated that the entire game is nothing more than a performance that is put on for you, the audience, and that Mario is never really put into any real danger. Add in the clues that the game starts with raised curtains, all the platforms hang from the ceiling like props, and every level ends with you exiting stage right and you've got a really compelling fan theory.

What does Shigeru Miyamoto have to say when asked if this theory is true:

Mind. Blown.

And of course, do you know who is Bowser Jr.'s mother?

The real mystery!
