I did an article the other day on the multitude of possible films Marvel may do after Infinity War, and you can read it here, but the future of TV cannot be planned so easily. Marvel TV has plans, but we cannot be certain of much more than the fact that The Defenders are coming, as are a lot of new Inhumans. We know about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, but that's the spy side of things (mostly). We're all really wondering what's going to happen on Netflix. So here's what we can do, we can guess a lot about what we could see our Netflix heroes go on to do, and what other characters could get their own Netflix shows!

Established Characters!

DEFENDERS!
DEFENDERS!

Daredevil!

This city needs him... so does Netflix!
This city needs him... so does Netflix!

Daredevil has already has an immensely successful first season, and instantly they had to plan a second season for next year, way before the Defenders, showing how popular it is. With the second season shaping up and introducing the likes of Elektra and Punisher, it looks like a world is establishing firmly around Matt Murdock, and they won't abandon that any time soon. Especially with more to come from Kingpin, and Bullseye not even properly introduced yet!

Jessica Jones!

November 20th!
November 20th!

I can't wait for this show! Krysten Ritter is perfect for the role, and it's going to be amazing. David Tennant was my favorite Doctor, and he is going to be an amazing villain as Purple Man! I'm sure that Jessica's show will continue for a long time as well!

Luke Cage!

He's coming!
He's coming!

Not much is known about this show yet, but I can definitely see it working as well as Daredevil. Mike Colter looks right for the role, and we will get to see him in Jessica Jones first, which is amazing!

Iron Fist!

Hmm
Hmm

I can't even guess at this show. It's ages away and we don't even have a lead yet. Marvel are obviously taking their time to get this casting just right, and they've done so well casting everyone in Daredevil that I'm not even going to question it. But Iron Fist should be both very different, and very good!

All of these characters are set to come together in The Defenders, and that is going to blow my mind! What villain will they face? I don't know, but I tingle with anticipation at the very thought of all four together. Just having Jessica and Luke together in November is driving me insane! But they aren't going to be the only Marvel-Netflix characters, in fact we know they aren't, and there are rumors about four other Marvel characters who may get their Netflix series soon, so let's talk about them next!

Moon Knight!

Batman? Is that you?
Batman? Is that you?

The Punisher

That's one bad ass Mutha!

Spider-Woman

Peter? Is that you? Nope.
Peter? Is that you? Nope.

Deathlok

Must destroy all Netflix.
Must destroy all Netflix.

But let's not forget that Marvel likes to surprise us, and so I've come up with a number of other ideas for Netflix shows, some of which I think would be absolutely awesome!

Thunderbolts

Sadly, no Deadpool.
Sadly, no Deadpool.

I have detailed before the way I think a Thunderbolts film or show could come about, but basically if Red Hulk is introduced in Captain America: Civil War, then he could end up killing a hero, which could very well result in him going off to make a team of reformed villains. Who else could be on it? Punisher, though not Thomas Jane, obviously, and possibly Elektra, but beyond that who knows? There are a number of Marvel villains still alive, and they could easily join up with the team. Plus, it would be amazing!

Ms. Marvel

Oh, is it my turn already?
Oh, is it my turn already?

Ms. Marvel is one of the few new characters Marvel has been able to popularize in recent years, and they have done so in a big way! Promoting Carol Danvers from Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel was genius, because it made room for Kamala Khan to enter the scene, and I think she is perfect for TV. While Marvel are looking to get younger actors into their films, they haven't started the same process with TV yet, and they should in my opinion. They also need to start bringing more TV characters to film, and vice versa. Only a few have broken that barrier so far.

Runaways

Running away? Doesn't sound like heroes!
Running away? Doesn't sound like heroes!

Runaways is surely coming to the MCU, it's a whole team of younger people that could be around for years! Marvel wants that so badly. I think it could work well on TV, though it could just as easily become a film. It's about a team of kids who run away (duh) after finding out that their parents are all supervillains. They then discover that they all have powers, too!

SWORD

None of them even has a sword.
None of them even has a sword.

How have more people not mentioned the idea of S.W.O.R.D.? It's like S.H.I.E.L.D., but in space! If Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. can work on TV, then S.W.O.R.D. needs to be given a chance! It'll be way easier after the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers worlds come together, because then Earth will really be part of the bigger Marvel universe.

She-Hulk

Bruce? Is that you?
Bruce? Is that you?

She-Hulk is the character Marvel forgot. Everyone has begged for her for years now, and surely Marvel can't deny our wishes forever, right? They showed how a superhero lawyer can work in Daredevil, and might not want to replicate it, but film or TV, just please give us She-Hulk already!

Namor

Aquaman? Is that you?
Aquaman? Is that you?

I'm not sure about this one, honestly. Namor will almost certainly enter the MCU eventually, but TV might not work. He may even be more of a villain. I could definitely Black Panther 2 or 3 taking on the storyline where Atlantis invades Wakanda, pitting Namor against Black Panther. That would be awesome. However, Marvel could make a TV show to pit against Aquaman's film, and make Namor an anti-hero.

Nova

Booster Gold maybe?
Booster Gold maybe?

I think this would be a smart move by Marvel. An intergalactic cop type of show. It's Green Lantern, but for Marvel. Nova Corps have been introduced, and now we want someone like Sam Alexander flying around the cosmos to widen the universe even more, and truly let us get to know the cosmic side of this wonderful universe. It would truly be brilliant.

Well I'm fresh out of ideas. There you go Marvel, you're welcome to take whichever ones you want. Just make more shows as great as Daredevil, okay?
