Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Black Panther. All of these characters have been teased in Marvel Cinematic Universe films at one time or another, and all are set to appear in upcoming Marvel films. These are among the most exciting of easter eggs when we see them, but some of the time these characters don't appear in Marvel films after being teased... yet! Let's look at five cases of characters who have been teased in the MCU, and think about just how likely it is that they will appear in the future!

1. Rick Jones!

Bad Hulk.
Bad Hulk.

Rick Jones has a long history in Marvel Comics. He was an ally of Hulk, Captain America, and all the Avengers in general from the before the Avengers were even formed. He helped bring them all together for the very first time, and later became a hero himself as A-Bomb! He was teased at the beginning of The Incredible Hulk, where his name flashed up quickly on a list of known associates of Bruce Banner. Will he come into the universe? Possibly, but I kind of doubt it.

2. Adam Warlock!

Egg sac man!
Egg sac man!

Adam Warlock has one of the most well known easter eggs in the MCU at this point. His cocoon was in the Collector's collection in Guardians of the Galaxy, and it is heavily rumored that he will appear in the sequel. He was an instrumental part of the Infinity War and the Infinity Gauntlet storylines, so it is likely he will appear, and his evil alter ego Magus may also appear.

3. Jim Hammond!

Johnny? Is that you?
Johnny? Is that you?

Jim Hammond was the original Human Torch, and fought alongside Captain America in WWII, long before the Fantastic Four or Johnny Storm were ever around. You have to wonder if Marvel actually has the rights to him, because he would be a cool character to introduce. He was teased in Captain America: The First Avenger, when his costume was showcased outside a cinema. Marvel probably can't use him, at least not the name Human Torch, but you never know.

4. Namor!

Why do all these guys hang out with Hulk?
Why do all these guys hang out with Hulk?

Namor is the king of Atlantis. No, he is not Aquaman. I know it sounds like it, but he is not. He is often more of a villain, actually. Anyway, he was teased in Captain America: The Winter Soldier in a similar way to Dr. Strange and Black Panther. When the dots placing threats that Hydra wanted dead came up, one was in Africa (supposedly Black Panther) and one was in the middle of the ocean. Hm... anyone taking a fishing trip? Or is Namor hanging around? I would love Black Panther 2 or 3 to use the storyline where Namor leads the forces of Atlantis in an invasion of Wakanda!

5. Man-Thing!

Um... What?
Um... What?

Man-Thing was name dropped on Agents of SHIELD by Maria Hill, probably this is just a fun easter egg for the die-hard Marvel fans, because I think it unlikely that he will ever be utilized, but you do never know with Marvel, do you?
