Last year's "Vampire Academy" - a movie adaptation of the best-selling 6-book series by Richelle Mead, wasn't what we generally call "a box office hit". Whilst existing fans were all too keen to see the movie, its theme of Vampires proved a little stale for newer audiences, and as such it failed to pull in the $$$ needed to warrant a sequel. Despite this, the talented young cast from the movie, have wasted no time in graduating to - dare I say it - bigger and better things?

Kent born Actor, Dom Sherwood, has most recently and notably graduated St Vladimir's Academy to join ABC Family's "Shadowhunters", based upon the novels by Cassandra Clare, as the fierce and ever-so-sarcastic Jace.

Inspired Casting?

His character in Vampire Academy was and is remarkably similiar in personality to his new role as Jace on "Shadowhunters".

But the graduating doesn't stop there, folks.

20-year-old Zoey Deutch, the young starlet responsible for bringing the badass and savvy Rose Hathaway to life in Vampire Academy, is now set to tackle the latest YA Adapation, "Before I Fall".

"Before I Fall" is a standalone Young Adult Novel, published in 2010 by Harper Collins. Written by Lauren Oliver, the novel centres around teenager Samantha Kingston, and her seemingly perfect life.

The back of the book reads as follows

"Samantha Kingston has it all: the world's most crush-worthy boyfriend, three amazing best friends, and first pick of everything at Thomas Jefferson High—from the best table in the cafeteria to the choicest parking spot. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life.
Instead, it turns out to be her last.
Then she gets a second chance. Seven chances, in fact. Reliving her last day during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing."

Maria Maggenti is set to pen the script, with Ry Russo-Young signed on as Director. Production is due to start in mid-late October, with principal photography taking place in Vancouver.
