For many voice actors, the chance to star in a Disney animated movie is a a chance in a lifetime. And a lucky few have the opportunity to do just that and a whole lot more, working to bring to life magical characters for both Disney and its Pixar Studios.

Let's see which 8 voice-acting veterans had their fingers in all the pies when lending their vocals to these two rival production companies:

1. John Goodman

Pixar: Sulley in Monster's Inc & Monster's University

Disney: "Big Daddy" La Bouff in The Emperor's New Groove

John Goodman also starred as Pacha, the family-orientated peasant, in The Emperor's New Groove.

2. Craig Ferguson

Pixar: Lord Macintosh in Brave (technically also a joint venture with Disney)

Disney: The know-it-all Owl from Winnie the Pooh

3. Jodi Benson

Pixar: Barbie in Toy Story 1 & 2

Disney: Ariel in The Little Mermaid

4. Brad Garrett

Pixar: Bloat the puffer fish in Finding Nemo

Disney: Hook Hand Thug in Tangled

And that's not the end to Brad's vocal achievements. He also played the role of Gusteau, the celebrity chef in Ratatouille.

5. Emma Thompson

Pixar: Queen Elinor in Brave

Disney: Captain Amelia in Treasure Planet
