Early reports this week alleged that actor Mark Hamill suffered a horrible accident on the set of [Star Wars: Episode VIII](tag:711868), saying that he was nearly killed while filming on Skellig Michael island this past weekend.
It's important to take rumors with a grain of salt, and thankfully, it seems as though the internet completely underestimated the power of Hamill's resilience -- and the fact that he didn't have an accident at all.
Hamill himself took to Twitter to clarify the rumors:
Fabricated stories usually contain a seed of truth. Didn't so much as stub a toe on Skellig Michael. But thanks for your concern! #FalseNews— Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) September 16, 2015
A fan favorite here at Moviepilot, Hamill is officially on set to work on the eighth installment of the Star Wars saga, and rumors are already swirling regarding what, exactly, is being filmed.
In the meantime, we can all rest assured that the son of Skywalker (or the treacherous trickster; or, the voice of the Clown Prince of Crime, and countless others) is doing just fine.
