On Tuesday, September 22nd, the Muppets return to TV with a brand new, 'mockumentary' show! Many families are excited for the return of this show, but a lot of people are wondering what the Muppets will actually be up to. The promos show that a lot has changed among our beloved characters, including the dramatic break up of one of our favorite couples.

Almost everyone knows that Kermit and Piggy have broken up, but what else is there to know about The Muppets before its premiere? Here are 6 things we learned from the promos about what the Muppets will have been up to by the time we see them on Tuesday.

1. Kermit is dating a new pig named Denise

When Kermit left Miss Piggy, he did it so he could begin dating his new girlfriend Denise, who is also a pig. Denise is actually part of the reason why the Muppets received this new show in the first place, due to her connections with ABC.

Though these two are now a thing, many people are predicting (or hoping, more so) that Kermit and Denise will not last so Kermit can get back together with Miss Piggy. Only time will tell on that part.

2. Miss Piggy has moved on with numerous celebrities

Kermit is not the only one who has moved on since the break-up. Miss Piggy herself has moved on, but with other celebrities this time. Some of these include Topher Grace, who she met on the set of a film, and Nathan Fillion who was spotted walking out of Piggy's trailer one morning.

Piggy is clearly enjoying her freedom in new and fun ways, which may pose a serious threat if these two ever decide to get back together.

3. Gonzo is trying online dating

Gonzo is finally done hoping to win Piggy over, and has started searching on his own to find a new girl by using online dating. In fact, when he first started making his profile, he tried to use Scandal's Scott Foley's information in order to try to lure in more attention.

I honestly feel bad for how lonely Gonzo is and I hope that he finally finds love, even if it's just for a little while.

4. Fozzie is dating a human

Fozzie is also jumping on the relationship bandwagon by also beginning to date. The catch? He is dating a human girl (who is either a teen or a young adult). This is obviously growing tensions between Fozzie and the girl's parents, specifically because he is a bear.

This is one relationship I am looking forward to watching, especially since it blatantly acknowledges the difficulties of a bear dating a human.

5. Walter is still part of the Muppets

Walter is the newest member of the Muppets, first joining in the movie The Muppets back in 2011. This was a very popular film which most likely kick-started this new Muppet show. Many people were worried that we may not see this character return in the show since he was not a member of the 'classic' Muppets, but he is still a member, being seen in one of the offices during a promo.

Though he may not get a big part in the show, I look forward to seeing Walter appear here and there in order to embrace the character who brought the Muppets back together in the first place.

6. The Electric Mayhem band is using (legal) marijuana

This was one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it deals in the "first look" of the show. While stuck at a stoplight, Kermit does a soliloquy with the camera. One of the lines he says is:

"...except the band. They're always happy. Legally now."

What does this refer to? Obviously the recent legalization of marijuana in different parts of the United States. As a parody of most other rock bands, it is really no surprise that they indulge themselves in these drugs. But Kermit just coming out and admitting it is something totally different.

It's probably safe to say that we will see Animal (and the other members of the band) act a little differently on screen than we would have before, considering they can now smoke legally. But I doubt we will see the band members smoking a joint on screen at any time during the show. They're still the Muppets, don't worry.

Clearly, a lot has changed for the Muppets. I can't wait to see how these changes play out on screen when the show premiers on the 22nd. Will some of these changes stay, or will some deteriorate so that a certain couple gets back together? We will have to find out (or start finding out) on Tuesday. Thanks for reading!
