Matt Damon is the star of The Martian, and from the looks of it, this is going to be a great film. I don't typically base everything I think about a movie on critics' reviews. I think it's best to go see it for myself to see what I personally think. But in this case, it's pretty hard to deny I'm enticed by early signs.
I mean, just check out all of this info on the film. Including a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score. Not too shabby.
The high critic rating is a great indicator, but so is that cast. Also, Ridley Scott is the man. I think that if the October 2nd release isn't met with huge box office numbers, a lot of people will be surprised.
But I digress. Back to the actual content from the film. You've got to see this clip of Matt Damon getting into how he'll survive with limited food in the movie below:
The trailer looks pretty interesting as well, and the word is that while the film is smart, serious, and clever it's also a good deal of fun - I'm looking forward to what could be with this film.
