After racing its way to a massive $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office, this week Universal Studios Furious 7 has been released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download.
The film, which was released following the death of Paul Walker, continues to the story of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and their 'fast family,' as the villainous Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) seeks to avenge his injured and comatose brother, Owen.
Not only does the Blu-ray contain the extended edition of the film (adding an additional two minutes onto the theatrical release), but it's also jam packed with over 100 minutes of bonus features and exclusives! Check just a few of the exclusive extras you can expect to see:
There's almost 6 minutes of deleted scenes on the Blu-ray, including a whole subplot involving Letty that differs greatly in the finished movie. These scenes featured include:
- Letty at Clinic
- Letty Call From Nurse
Inside the stunts
The most stunning stunt in the entire film has to be the epic two tower jump through the stunning Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. In the 'tower jumper' segment on the Blu-ray exclusive you go inside this crazy stunt and see just how much work went into making it happen. You're bound to be surprised at just how many practical effects were used in this almost-unbelievable sequence.
Fist of fury
it wouldn't be a Fast & Furious film without some brilliant fight scenes, and the 'inside the fight' segment takes you behind-the-scenes to check out some of the impressive fight choreography - including that awesome girl fight between Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and Kara (Rhonda Rousey).
The star cars
Over the space of 10 minutes 42 seconds, the Blu-ray introduces you to the other stars of the franchise - the cars! With replicas (like the extremely expensive Lykan HyperSport), classics, custom and military vehicles features in the film, the in-depth looks let's you really appreciate just how much work the crew who builds and prepares these bad boys really does.
