During September from 5 to 13 at 80th TIF in Salonica there was an event full of gamers and cosplayers. E-Gaming is one of the biggest events in Greece with thousants of visitors and endless video game tournaments and presentations.
Cosplay wouldn't be missing from that event especially the last 2 days. The final weekend of the event had cosplay workshops, cosplay parades and a cosplay contest for the closure of the event.
Horo Von Kaida and Geo Kurumi, well known cosplayers in Greece, were guests and through their workshops they shared their work with everyone. Lethiel, also well known for her work, was there with a new costume every day.
Cosplayers took part in the League of Legends cosplay parade with their LoL themed costumes.
That was nothing compared to what followed the next day.
The general - themed cosplay contest was really competitive with amazing works of art. One after another amazing cosplayers showed their work to the audience and the judges only to leave them with the jaws dropped. Everyone stole the show with their unique performance. I was one of the judges of the constest and I had the honor to look their costumes from up close. I show them by order of appearance.
By setting high standarts from the very first second, Lethiel's Art and Cosplay opened the contest with Valkyrie Diana from League of Legends. Waving her giant sickle she spoke in a deep voice the quotes of the character.
Xenia Daisuki appeared with her pop star Fiora. The costume had beautiful detailing on the shoulders and her jacket was flowing very nicely with her movements.
There must always be a Deadpool! Alexis did a very good job on his roleplay. He got on the stage mission impossible - style and made a comedic performance using many references. He made the crowd cheer and laugh.
Kanjiru came on the stage dancing on hooves as Dryad Soraka with her rod and gemstone sparkling with light.
An amazing Joker and Harley Quinn couple appeared right after that dancing and to a Joker song. They were so cute and the Joker cosplayer had amazing face expressions.
Then, getting everyone by surprise, Master Chief got on stage! An amazing costume by the Cosplay Corp team, one of the first and most famous cosplay teams in Greece. Thew costume was very intimidating as Master Chief should be.
Pokemon cosplay is always so creative! This cosplayer took Charizard to whole new level of sexy. The wings were very big and were enhancing her look very nicely.
Raiwashi SP got on stage as Jack Skellington and gave an enchanting performance over the Holloween song.
Geo Kurumi also participated with her Jaina costume giving movement to the quotes of the character.
Then the voices sang and Dovahkiin arrived. She was really energetic and even screamed FUS RO DAH! on the stage. Her costume was super effective!
Jane D came running as Headhunter Akali. Her costume was a perfect fit and her movements true to character. Simply stunning.
Hikari and Lorian from Cosplay Corp were also on the stage as Captain Fortune and Corsair Quinn. They also had life bars that got up and down when they attacked each other on their performance. Their costumes were bold and piratey!
And then our hearts skipped a beat. Jamal as Big Daddy got on stage and he was terrifyingly amazing. The costume was big! He was walking slowly and surely and even moved his drill weapon. The rust effect is so amazing! The cosplayer won 1st place from both the judges and the audience. He set a new standart for greek cosplay and the contest right on the spot!
Phoenix ex Machina appeared as Demon Hunter and his costume was as well built as it was stunning. He won 5th place.
Harley Quinn as playful as ever was also there. An accurate and beautiful costume.
This cosplayer seemed quite new to the art of cosplay but her work is extraordinaryand really accurate. Her performance as Nightblade Irelia was also great.
Kitty Cat Katarina appeared right after to literally cute everyone to death. Meow!
Something unexpected was this cosplayer that had this Dark Phoenix costume. Western comics aren't that popular in the greek cosplay community and seeing this costume I felt a relief that this will soon change.
Cute Mary Chan as Super Sonico danced to a cute song and filled our eyes with pastel colours and our ears with cheerful music.
The next cosplayer danced with her Blood Moon Akali costume.
Then fight! Captain America and Winter Soldier fought on stage. These cosplayers had choreographed a fight sequence that was short but realistic and showed off their characters nicely.
This Project Yasuo was blind the whole time of his performance and still managed to show off his costume nicely. Sacrificing vision for your cosplay can be dangerous and I advice everyone to alter your costume accordingly.
Suicide Squad may not be released yet but it sure became popular and this cosplayer is the proof. With the work of Extremeface Art this guy became a perfect Joker and his performed very well on the stage.
And then this costume of Malthael. This cosplayer was amazing with both the costume and her performance. The details look amazing and make the costume look flawless. She won 3rd place.
Naruto groups are so fun! These Kakashi and Tenzo used their special trechniques to fight and of course Kakashi won.
This Syzuya looking for ghouls really looked the part.
There can simply not be enough League of Legends! Pool Party Lulu reminded us that in this country summer is yet to leave us.
Close the doors but don't let the batteries run out! Bonnie was stalking us from behind the stage and then he came for us. Maybe he realised we were without suits!
Closing the contest appeared two of the most amazing cosplayers. Horo Von Kaida and Ronny Von Kaida were on the stage as DJ Sona and Arcade Hecarim! Their costumes were as colourful as they were big! A whole new level in cosplay as mechanics and electronics stole the show. Lightshows, music and great costuming. The perfect finale! This group got 2nd place in the contest.
Those were the cosplays of the LoL Parade and the Cosplay Contest of e-Gaming. Many more cosplayers were at the area but that's for another day.
Many thanks to Cosplayers//GR and their photographers Cassiel, Adventurer and Dimitri for their photos.
