Allison Road is the P.T. inspired game that exploded in popularity overnight! After the earth shattering news of Silent Hills’ cancellation, Allison Road has been the bandage to our wounds. People from all over the globe have been soaking this up like a sponge, myself included!
Missed the gameplay trailer from June? Watch it here!
From the first announcement back in May, to the release of the gameplay trailer towards the end of June, the Allison Road Facebook page has grown to well over 47,000 likes, which is impressive and nearly unheard of for indie titles! And now, the wait is finally over - the Kickstarter is here!
What does the Kickstarter include?
A simple £15 will earn you a Steam key for the game, while £20 will earn you a digital copy for either PS4 or Xbox One. The £25 tier will net us the "PC Lucid Dream Experience", which will be the demo, aimed for a release in mid 2016! Additionally, everyone who grabs a copy of the game through Kickstarter will receive the opportunity to "Become the Hunter!", where we will get the opportunity to learn more about the world of Allison Road by playing a real-world game, which can be expected on October 25th, 2015!
Other tiers include items such as digital and physical soundtracks, a "making-of" e-book, an art booklet, T-shirts, posters, signed art, and so much more! Some of the higher priced tiers can even include you into the game, such as by having a picture or painted portrait of you, or even allowing you to design your own scare! And finally, for the daring, the biggest tier will let you be one of the first to play Allison Road, at an isolated location in the UK. Not much else is told except, "A unique horror experience is waiting. Not for the faint of hearted!" which could mean a number of exciting and equally terrifying things!
What makes Allison Road worth pledging?
The answer here will be different for everyone. For me, it's a mixture of its creation being inspired by some haunting and unforgettable games, and real-life events (such as P.T., and the Amityville case), which I firmly believe will help make this into an incredible game! It also helps that the team at Lilith Ltd have stayed close to us fans throughout the development.
Regardless of how many fans are now following the development of Allison Road, the team is still communicating with us and taking our comments into consideration - something rarely seen, and greatly appreciated. Chris Kesler (lead designer at Lilith Ltd) has always wanted to share the progress with us. To quote him from the Kickstarter video:
I think it will be fun to share my progress online - to share the experience with other people, to show how easy or hard it is to actually make a game.
And that's exactly what we've seen. The team has remained the same, through and through. It is because of this that I feel we can trust this Kickstarter without any doubts. I've already bought my tier. Have you?
