It's no secret that Disney has been back at the drawing board, revamping past films for new upcoming movies. With anticipation rising over live-action remakes of classics such as The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Mary Poppins, we sometimes forget that other favorites are coming back. With sequels.

Captain America: Civil War

Release Date: May 6, 2016

Storyline: A feud breaks out between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)

Supposedly, the film is intended to feature the two prominent Avengers, along with Hulk, Black Widow, Black Panther, Ant-Man, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Vision, Falcon and Spider-Man.

Alice: Through the Looking Glass

Release Date: May 27, 2016

Storyline: Something has gone wrong with the beloved Hatter, leading Alice on a journey through time to discover what made the Hatter mad.

Finding Dory

Release Date: June 27, 2016

Storyline: When a random memory is triggered, Dory can't remember its importance. This leads her on a long search to reunite with her family.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Release Date: Mary 5, 2017

Storyline: Still in the top secret vault of Marvel info. But, there are a few things we do know!

1) We'll get to know more about Rocket's background.

2) We'll meet more Guardians.

Toy Story 4

Release Date: June 16, 2017

Storyline: We finally get the love story with Woody and Bo-Peep. You may have thought the story ended with Toy Story 3 — but the gang will be back for more adventures.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Release Date: July 7, 2017

Storyline: Captain Jack Sparrow returns as he searches for the trident of Poseidon.

Directors have also announced that the following are in the works.

Frozen 2

We don't know much yet about this highly anticipated sequel. But we do have the sneak peek from Director Chris Buck about Frozen's heroine Elsa: "[In Frozen] she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she’s just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again. That’s what was really good about the short [Frozen Fever] – we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality … you will see in the next one."
