In Hollywood, it's not worth putting your career on hold to avoid any awkward run-ins with an ex. Luckily for The Big Bang Theory stars, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting and Johnny Galecki, and for fans of the sitcom, their break-up didn't stand in the way of this comedic duo .

Recently Kaley was asked by a fan what it's been like working with her ex-boyfriend of two years and how her husband, professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting, feels about their close relationships on the show:

Kaley explains that these two exes and her current spouse have nothing but (platonic) love between them on and off set:

Well, we dated like five years ago, so I think we both moved on. Johnny is actually one of my best friends. It’s a situation that ended well. I understand sometimes it doesn’t. It could have gone horrible.
He's one of my dearest friends and Ryan loves him. Johnny loves [Ryan].

So sweet! It's hard to imagine watching The Big Bang Theory without Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting or Johnny Galecki, and I think it's great their relationship was able to withstand even a break-up.

Especially with Leonard and Penny's BBT wedding, I think the fact that they're still such good friends has benefited everyone. Now we were finally able to see these heartwarming scenes we've all been waiting for.

In the end, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting sums up her personal and professional relationships perfectly saying:

I got lucky.

Agreed! If only we could all be so lucky.

The Big Bang Theory Season 9 will air on CBS Monday nights at 8pm.
