I love my DLC!

I'm getting pretty hyped for everything Arkham Knight related just because I actually completed the game 100% two times (once on Normal, once on New Game +), then I went and got three stars on every challenge map available, and even acquired 100% of the core games' trophy system through the PS4 (I still have to play the Batgirl DLC, 'Family Matters').

But I have to say that everything that has come out looks great and even though I still have yet to play 'Family Matters,' I've got to enjoy everything else DLC related up to this point. My favorite DLC, so far, has been the '1989 Movie Batmobile Pack'

It's really cool that there's a game out there that is celebrating the different versions of Batman by allowing you to race in one of the greatest - my personal favorite - Batmobiles ever on uniquely designed racetracks as well as suiting up in the Batman suit that many of us wanted as we grew up watching the 1989 Batman movie.

But the perks for Batman: Arkham Knight don't end there, we have also been given a plethora of costumes (mostly for Batman) as well as new Challenge courses and a few unique Story missions for some of the more famous Batman characters.

Well, before this month (September) is over, we'll get to see a new version of Batman celebrated as they are releasing 'The Dark Knight' DLC pack, which will bring Christopher Nolan's celebrated version of the Batmobile, the "Tumbler," to the hands of gamers with two more uniquely designed maps based off of the world Christopher Nolan created in The Dark Knight Trilogy. The only thing that is, sadly, not included is The Dark Knight themed Batsuit.

On top of that, we'll also be given our first look at the post-Arkham Knight events as Nightwing will be tackling the Penguin and his thugs that have taken over the GCPD building.

October DLC Preview!

Rocksteady is on a DLC roll right now and they've released information regarding next month's (October) specialized DLC, too.

Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile Pack:

  • Travel back in time with the Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile Pack. This pack includes the 1960s TV Series Batmobile with two racetracks inspired by the Batman Classic TV Series.
  • Also includes Classic TV Series Catwoman Skin, Classic TV Series Robin Skin.

Catwoman’s Revenge:

  • Set after the events of Arkham Knight, prowl the night as Catwoman as she seeks her revenge on the Riddler with this story pack.

Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #3:

  • Get this Crime Fighter Challenge Pack to receive various combat and predator maps featuring Batman, Nightwing, Robin, and Azrael.

What's been great about all this bonus stuff, especially the Batmobile DLC, is that you don't just have to drive that Batmobile to its corresponding challenge maps, you can race it in other (non-combat oriented) maps and even race the Arkham Knight Batmobile in the DLC racing maps.

One thing that's cool about the October update is that not only will we get to race different Batmobiles on different maps, but now we'll get to choose from the wide variety of characters to take part in the Combat and Predator challenges.

I'm glad that Rocksteady Studios are still putting the time, care, and effort into this game especially considering that there'll be no more Batman Arkham games of any kind from the studio after this one.
