One of the main things I remember from Blade was the bloody rave scene at the beginning of the film set to house music that reminds me a little bit of the Sahara Tent at the Coachella music festival in Southern California.

The similarities are there, what with loud music pumping and people bumping and grinding. The difference? In Blade, there is a literal bloodbath going down during all of the people's intense partying. It adds to the insanity for sure.

Check it out if your memory is hazy like I'm sure a lot of dancers in this scene are.

Well, for New York Comic-Com, company BBQ Films, which specializes in recreating iconic movie scenes (and submerging fans directly into the mix), is going to tackle the above scene.

Sounds unbelievable, right? Well, here's the promo video for it in case you aren't amped up yet...

It's all going down Friday, October 9th and there will be actors dressed as '90s raver vampires. See for yourself on the BBQ Films event page. This quote pretty much sums it up best, in my humble opinion:

“And most importantly, (synthetic) BLOOD RAIN from within Terminal 5. Step into the splash zone and experience the BLADE RAVE from the film!”

Blood. Everywhere.

Whenever it's raining blood, it's a good night.

Are you going to the Blade Rave?
