Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you it will.

This is in response to this article posted on our very own Moviepilot. I suggest reading it before continuing.

As the above article says, the Jedi believe that Anakin is the "Chosen one" meant to "Bring balance to the Force." But by definition, balance is even. So if you kill the remaining sith, the dark side of the force, that is the exact opposite of balance. What you would need to do is kill most of the jedi and- Oh wait. He did.

NOT THE KIDS!!!
NOT THE KIDS!!!

Hmm... So this, I think, unlocks a deeper mystery. Are the Jedi wrong? Or did they lie? Or does no one in the Star Wars universe have any idea of the definition of balance!?

Remind me why Obi-wan isn't perfect again?

But then again,

Anakin left the Galaxy pretty bleak...

dun, dun, dun, dun, duh dun, dun, duh dun.
dun, dun, dun, dun, duh dun, dun, duh dun.

But then shifted the balance again when he threw Palpatine down the Death Star shaft. Leaving just Luke (and technically Leia) as the last two force users. (Granted that we know of...) So it's reasonable to assume that that's where Kylo Ren and the apparent "Order of Ren" came from. The lack of Dark side and the power balance shifting to the light.

So in conclusion, I just don't understand the prophecy. In one breath Jedi explain it as "Bringing balance to the Force" then in the next they say its killing all the sith? Anyone know how to get George Lucas on the phone for an explanation??
