Before the tyranny of Joffrey, only one dastardly blond antagonist plagued a popular fandom franchise: Draco Malfoy. Arguably not as terrible as the late King of Westeros, Draco earned his place as a rival to Harry Potter early on in the title character's series, and was brought to life by actor Tom Felton for every single installment of the film franchise.
Felton turns 28 today, and has been celebrated by fans all over the world -- including his biggest fan, J.K. Rowling:
Since the final installment of the Harry Potter film series in 2011, Felton has gone on to star in films such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Apparition, and Against the Sun. He held a successful run on Murder in the First as Erich Blunt, and is gearing up for at least three new films in 2016: Stratton, Message from the King, and Risen.
While many will always remember him as the viciously dramatic Draco Malfoy, his friends and fans also know him as a kind, funny and personable young man who is just as quirky as his fellow castmates -- if not more. Happy birthday, Malfoy!
