I could hear things, but I didn't feel like opening my eyes. Yeah, I'm lazy, because I'm awesome. What's your excuse?! Well, I left my eyes shut just hoping to hear something interesting. I didn't expect to hear what I did. Harry. Crying.
"Lex, please please please wake up!" He sobbed, holding my hand for his own reassurance. "I'm better with you around. Happier when you're here with me," he said shakily, trying to calm himself. "You make me laugh and smile when I'm having the worst days. I need you, Lex," he finished. I could tell he stood up, but I pulled him into a bone crushing hug.
"That was the best thing I've ever heard!" I whispered. "I'm best with you too," I said truthfully. I pulled away to see my messed up best friend grinning like a Cheshire Cat. "How long was I out?" I asked.
"Just a couple days. Oh, here's your locket," he answered. I sat up and moved my hair because he always puts my jewelry on me. He clipped it around my neck and I hugged him again.
"Harry, I want you to know something," I said as he pulled back.
"What's that, Lex?" He asked and sat beside me on the hospital bed.
"The Dursleys aren't your family. I am," I said.
"Thank you," he whispered gently.
"Now, to Narnia!" I shouted as I stood up and jumped on his back.
"This school doesn't have a magical closet that leads to a winter wonderland!" Harry argued.
"Ugh! Fine, some servant you are!" I scoffed playfully.
"You do know that I can drop you, right?" He smirked as we left the hospital.
"You wouldn't dare!" I gasped.
"Why wouldn't I?" He asked playfully.
"It's because you love me!" I joked. I noticed him blush, but I ignored it. "Fine. Take me to lunch!" He nodded and ran to the great hall.
"Tell me that you love me! Tell me that I take your breath away!" I sang.
A/N: I know. Major filler, but a bit sappy. Sorry! Any who. What you think of story and new cover? Yes, I changed it again. So what? Later Lovelies
