Anjelica Huston Joins Transparent Season Two!
Anjelica Huston has booked herself a role on Amazon's hit series, Transparent.
Huston will star in three episodes of the shows second season as a “new friend” to Jeffrey Tambor’s character of Maura.
“They have a lot of chemistry…palpable chemistry! It was palpable. I was directing them together and watching through the monitor."
says creator Jill Soloway about the on-screen affinity between Huston and Tambor’s characters.
Nominated for a total of 11 Emmy Awards at Sunday nights ceremony, Transparent won for comedy directing, Jeffrey Tambor won for lead comedy actor and Bradley Whitford won for his guest appearances on the show at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
No stranger to winning awards herself, the Oscar and Golden Globe winners last regular appearance was as Eileen Rand on NBC's Smash. Huston also voices Queen Clarion in the Tinker Bell movies, one episode of Bojack Horseman, a regular spot in Wes Anderson films (The Darjeeling Limited, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Royal Tenenbaums) as well as Choke, Medium and, my personal favourites, Morticia Addams in The Addams Family and The Addams Family Values.
Transparent Season 2 premieres on Friday December 4.
