While it's fair to say the MCU marketing machine never truly stops, not even after blockbuster season is over, Marvel seems intent on making it clear that the events of [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035) will lead directly into [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409).
Not that we didn't already know that, but it was a neat bit of marketing on Marvel's part on social media. In two new tweets from the official Avengers account, the connection was made clear. In essence, Ultron is being touted as a direct lead-in to Civil War.
First yesterday, the wood-chopping scene that has now become an iconic moment from Ultron:
And today, a follow-up of a very cool graphic positioning Tony Stark as "The Mind" and Steve Rogers as "The Heart," and intimating that things will never truly be the same between the two ever again.
Personally, if I had to choose, I'd much prefer to be the heart. But that's just me. Either way, I am counting down the days until their showdown begins. It will be unlike anything we've witnessed in a comic book movie yet.
