There are a few times in every man's life where he has to just accept the facts and admit something a bit embarrassing; for me, that time is now. Ladies and gentlemen, readers of all kinds, I have fangirled - and I am not ashamed.

Yes, I did indeed "fangirl." Yes, I am a boy, but the correct term for this act is fangirl, and I'm not about to sugarcoat it—I 100% fangirled. I jumped up and down, I yelled "YES!" at the top of my lungs, I even teared up a bit. And you know what? I don't regret it.

For you see, the reason I fangirled, the exact reason that I somehow reversed the stages of puberty and squealed like a baby pig who had just sucked on helium, is a very, VERY good reason. What reason is that? Kenan and Kel have reunited.

Yes, you read that correctly, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell have reunited! The hilarious duo that dominated '90s Nickelodeon with their funny antics and inseparable bond have finally gotten together again!

Now, don't get too excited. Kenan and Kel isn't returning to TV, and the two aren't working on a new show or anything. But they did reunite in the form of a sketch based on their film, Good Burger.

Good Burger stars Kenan and Kel as two teens working in a burger restaurant for the summer. Every kid who's watched Nick in the '90s and early '00s knows how awesome this film was, and how popular it made Kenan and Kel! Now, 18 years after the film's premiere, the two stars have reunited to reenact it! And who do we have to thank for this incredible event? Jimmy Fallon, in all his talk show host glory! Check out the sketch, which premiered on an episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, below!

Now you understand why I "fangirled" like a Tumblr user navigating a page dedicated to Benedict Cumberbatch. You would too if you saw Kenan and Kel reuniting for the first time in years! In fact, now that you've watched the video, you're probably having trouble controlling your excitement too!

It seems the two really haven't changed that much, and are still great friends and cast-mates! But why has it been so long since we've seen these two on screen together? Where have they been? What have they been up to? Let's take a look at the lives of these two awesome '90s stars to find out!

Kenan Thompson

Kenan Thompson started his acting career in 1994, with roles in the movie D2: The Mighty Ducks and Nickelodeon's sketch comedy show, All That. Two years later, he'd join his All That co-star Kel Mitchell for the show Kenan and Kel.

In the show, Kenan plays Kenan Rockmore, a street-smart kid who's always coming up with schemes to get money, or plans to get out of trouble. A year into the show, Kenan and Kel would star in their first theatrical film together, based on an All That original skit called Good Burger.

After Good Burger and Kenan and Kel, Kenan would go on to star in a variety of different films over the years such as Stan Helsing, Fat Albert, and Snakes on a Plane!

But Kenan couldn't stay away from sketch comedy for long - in 2003, he got a job as a main cast member on Saturday Night Live! Kenan's been on the show ever since, becoming the longest staying member in SNL history!

He's also done the most celebrity impressions, with over 108 under his belt! Personally, my favorite is his impression of Steve Harvey.

Kel Mitchell

Kel Mitchell also started his acting career in 1994 on All That. After his long run on Nickelodeon, Kel sort of disappeared from the world of Hollywood. He has starred in a few films here and there, like Dance Fu and Battle of Los Angeles, and he kept busy on TV with roles in Attack of the Show!, Good Luck Charlie and Motorcity—as well as cameos in newer Nick shows like Sam & Cat.

Like his co-star and friend, Kel auditioned for Saturday Night Live, coincidentally at the same time as Kenan. Unfortunately, he lost out to Kenan, and didn't get the job. It's this event that caused many fans to speculate that the two had a falling out, which is why they never appeared on screen together again.

There were rumors that Kel was tired of being in Kenan's shadow, and chose to go off on his own. I'm not really one to believe in celebrity gossip so strongly, so I can't confirm if this is true or not. Either way, Kel did indeed go off on his own a bit, producing, writing and starring in the film Dance Fu in 2011.

After that, it was mostly cameos on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows for Kel. In 2015 (oh hey, that's this year), Kel got a lead role in the Nick show, Game Shakers.

You can see Kel in action in Game Shakers below! I can't say anything about the show, having not seen a full episode yet, but Kel is certainly still his awesome self in it!

Regardless of why it's taken so long for them to reunite, the Kenan and Kel Good Burger reunion was incredible! Move over Conan, Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Myers, Jimmy Fallon is now the king of talk show hosts—a title he's certainly worthy of, considering he managed to get two of my childhood heroes back together, even if it was just for a couple of minutes.

So what does this surprise reunion mean? Is there a Kenan and Kel spin-off coming, a Good Burger 2? Sadly, it probably means neither of these things. This is more than likely just a case of '90s nostalgia peeking its head out to surprise and excite fans! Honestly, I'm fine with that. 7 minutes of Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell sharing the screen again is enough to satisfy me! At least, for now.
