Seriously though, where is it? Bethesda had a great deal to show us at this year's E3 conference! But one aspect of it I'd almost completely forgotten about, as Fallout 4 dominated the stage, was the card game that they announced, The Elder Scrolls Legends. This was to be Bethesda's answer to Blizzard's exceptional Hearthstone, which was to receive a release date around this time for iOS and PC. But now it has become the stuff of...legend!
Well, not really it was only announced a few months ago. But Bethesda have been completely silent about this card game. Fallout 4 has certainly been the dominant focal point for the company (ONLY 46 DAYS LEFT PEOPLE!), but it's surprising to see the Elder Scrolls Legends completely disappear!
Forget Elder Scrolls 6, Where Is Bethesda's Elder Scrolls Legends Card Game?
Dire Wolf Digital are behind the development of Elder Scrolls Legends and aside from a teaser trailer shown on stage at E3 we've heard nothing! I normally wouldn't be that excited for a game like this, but after seeing how Hearthstone took over my life...I'm pretty excited! Assumedly, Bethesda are aiming for a release date before the arrival of Fallout 4. Once that comes out there will be no Bethesda fans that have anywhere near enough time to play anything else. Therefore, I assume we'll hear something from them at some point in October but a gameplay trailer at this stage would be a welcome present! Let us know if you're excited for the Elder Scrolls Legends card game in the comments below.
What Do You Want From the Release Date of Elder Scrolls 6?
Seeing as The Elder Scrolls name was being thrown around, Elder Scrolls 6 is something I couldn't help but consider. Taking a look at Fallout 4, Bethesda have taken things to an unprecedented level. From the amazing S.P.E.C.I.A.L. trailers, to the actual game itself, they seemed to have been exceptionally busy during the development of this highly anticipated (presumed) masterpiece. But if this is what Fallout 4 looks like, can you imagine what it'll be like to play the successor to Skyrim?!
Personally, from what I've seen with Fallout, I hope that Bethesda create a far more vibrant open world. Previous games have been too dark and murky and The Elder Scrolls Online showed us how beautiful Tamriel could be. Additionally, I hope that the buddy system also transfers over, with some kind of narrative force that far exceeds the disappointments of Skyrim's campaign.
But what do you want from Elder Scrolls 6 and do you think that The Elder Scrolls Legends is likely to get a release date in October? Let us know where you stand in the comments below!
