Following the announcement of Valentina Vostok, Warner Bros announced today a new addition to the already wide cast of Legends Of Tomorrow.

Peter Francis James has been cast as Professor Aldus Boardman. You may know him from the TV show Law & Order where he played the judge John Laramie alongside... Jesse L. Martin, Joe West on The Flash.

While being a completely new character in the DC mythology, Boardman will play a key role in Hawkman/Hawkgirl storyline as described by Warner Bros.

Boardman is a Classics professor at St. Roch University, who has devoted his life to researching the story of Chayara (Hawkgirl) and Prince Khufu (Hawkman) and their link to Vandal Savage. Professor Boardman is our team’s only hope of finding Vandal and destroying him, so they can return home. But when the Legends learn a secret about Boardman, they insist on making him a part of their journey, only to learn the kind of sacrifice it will take to save the world.

Looks like we'll explore deeply the mythology of Hawkman and Hawkgirl in Legends. Also, the city of St. Roch is not unknown in the DC lore. Indeed, this little city of Louisiana is the hometown of Carter Hall (Hawkman).

Adding completely new characters is, I think, a good thing for Legends. The writers really wants to give the show his own identity and not being tied-up by the comics. This allows really creative ideas that will benefit the series.

Legends Of Tomorrow keep adding new characters on the show, proving how much the show is ambitious. I can't wait to see the result !

Legends Of Tomorrow starts in 2016 on the CW !
