There are a few people who might disagree with me about this, but in my humble opinion, the movie Prometheus was actually pretty solid. Obviously, the Ridley Scott pseudo-prequel to Alien was good enough to spark a sequel in Prometheus 2 so enough people were happy with it.
Now, we've got an official name that we can refer to the film as other than "Prometheus 2". The official title, according to Ridley Scott is Alien: Paradise Lost.
In an interview with HeyUGuys, he had this to say about the title:
“You know the poem? I’m sure you’ve never been through it, the poem’s a book, ‘Paradise Lost.’ It sounds intellectual but there’s a similarity to it. That’s where it stops.”
Alien: Paradise Lost, which I think is truly an awesome name, will begin shooting in February with Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace set to reprise their roles of Shaw and the android David, respectively.
Check out the first film if you haven't yet... like I said it's gooood.
