Right on the heels of yesterday's news that Ridley Scott is planning another three Prometheus films, the producer/director has revealed the title of the first of that trilogy, may not bode well for Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5.

In an interview with HeyUGuys, he revealed the title of his next film as Alien: Paradise Lost.

It's now no surprise that he was so keen to push back Blomkamp's Alien sequel until after his sequel to Prometheus was released, particularly when you consider the context of how he explained it:

Actually, it’s going to be called Alien: Paradise Lost, so Prometheus 2 isn’t what it’s really going to be.

Does that mean what it's really going to be is an Alien film? And if that's the case, does that mean that Neill Blomkamp's own Alien project is in trouble? Let's hope not. I was interested to see what Blomkamp could do at the helm of the movie.

Alien: Paradise Lost is set for release on May 30, 2017.
