I am posting this article after a very detailed analysis of the MCU (all movies and shows of the MCU and not just the Disney owned franchise). When I was watching some sequences in certain movies I felt a disturbance in the Force (Ah now Disney also owns Star Wars so what the hell! Lets use some SW references here too). Upon a detailed analysis I put together some deeply buried clues in the MCU and figured out maybe the whole Marvel Universe is all somehow connected, like a multiversal reality of sorts!
So here are my supporting arguments! Spoiler Alert here so continue at your own peril!!
- SHIELD and X Men Connection - Yes you heard that right, MAOS and X Men are somehow connected not in one but two instances! Lets see them one by one. Remember in X men First Class where we see Agent X aka Man in Black Suit played by Oliver Platt who is instrumental in guiding Charles and Erik about the nuances of the Government's interest in the "Mutant" situation? Cut to MAOS towards the end of the first season where we see Nick Fury's ultra secret base aka the Playground managed by a cherubic set of Koenig siblings in turns? This character was played by Patton Oswalt. I couldn't help but notice why would Marvel choose two almost similar looking characters to portray Government agents who liaison with the heroes? My two theories on this would be (A) The Koenig siblings are the great grandchildren of the Man in Black (B) There was a deliberate similarity between them as they represent the same type of government agents who work closely with their universe's counterpart heroes in setting them up with the government.
- SHIELD and X Men connection Number 2: Lets move on to the next glaring similarity! Ever noticed how two VFX sequences in XMFC and MAOS uncannily resemble each other in a subtle way? Lets cut to the sequence where Darwin gets killed by Sebastian Shaw in an explosive shot! Shaw transfers Havok's absorbed powers into a pear sized ball of power and plunges it into Darwin's mouth while challenging him to " Try and survive this". Poor Darwin tries to contain the power but implodes from within in a deadly but beautiful explosion. Notice the external changes that happen on his body just before he implodes? Now Cut to MAOS Season 1 finale where we see the mystery obelisk opened to reveal a Terrigen Crystal (Surprise surprise) and further releasing the mutagenic (i know that "Mutant" is not a property of the Disney MCU - DMCU but maybe in the lead up to Infinity wars we will get to see Mutants in DMCU) Terrigen mists. Cut to the iconic transformation of Daisy to Quake and Raina to the Clairvoyant Porcupine (LOL) but this was drowned out by the sad demise of agent Triplett who as a human when connected with the Terrigen mists became a statue and was shattered by Quake's unintentional tremors. Also we see Agent Robert Gonzalez killed by Jiaying's diabolical plot that pits the Inhuman s against SHIELD. Did someone notice the VFX, an uncanny resemblance to the sequence where Darwin implodes!! Marvel is now boldly hinting at the obvious!
- X Men and AAOU connection: Now XMDOFP is one of the best X men movie released to date and a majority of that awesomeness is owed to one super fast speedster! Quicksilver aka Peter Maximoff (a devious wordplay of Pietro) in all his mutant glory rescues the master of magnetism from the world's most secure prison complex and bids adieu to the group! Seriously was that all we would be seeing of the Speedster? Later we see Pietro Maximoff, the (arguably) inhuman speedster of the DMCU along with his sister Wanda Maximoff who start off on a wrong note but ultimately end up joining forces with the Avengers. What came as a surprise though was the untimely demise of Pietro who died allegedly unable to dodge bullets! Seriously WTF is the use of super speed then? With Aaron Taylor Johnson unhappy that his character has been killed onscreen and his contract terminated after just one movie when his FMCU counterpart Evan Peters gets a multi movie contract, what does Marvel convey to us? Maybe during some point of time both the DMCU and FMCU will merge their timelines together and a sequence where both Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver work together against Thanos to thwart his evil schemes may be in the works after all!
- Fantastic 4 Reboot Debacle: Even before the F4 reboot was released it created a lot of buzz with the Director Josh Trank's controversial comments on how the studio interfered with his creative space and how the movie is far from his vision. It turns out that F4 bombed at the BO. I personally love-hate the reboot just like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot - The spirit of the movie was in the right place but it got terribly lost and confused somewhere down the lane towards the silver screens. It looks like the F4 reboot was specifically made to create a new set of actors for the 4 team members and specifically to distance Chris Evans from the Human torch so that he may get established in the Cap role. The F4 reboot also has a lot of hidden DMCU messages that connect to Civil War - The Thing, Human Torch and Invisible girl working for the government as special agents, the attempts of the government to recreate a Super Soldier like program, the presence of the Negative Zone (the alternate dimension where the F4 get their powers) which is a crucial element in Civil War and served as a prison for the super powered prisoners captured during the civil war and the government's attempts to register superheroes and document their powers! Hello Civil War anyone? On top of all this the DMCU is inspired by the Ultimate Marvel comics line and the new F4 are directly influenced by their ultimate counterparts with a few alterations! So here comes my conspiracy theory which says that Disney/Marvel pulled some very heavy strings at Fox Studios and wanted to create a reboot of the F4 but did not want it to become a runaway success unlike X Men. With a poor performance at the BO (remember that Josh Trank was confident enough for a sequel but post the release no one is even mentioning about the sequel) Disney can negotiate and repurchase the cinematic rights to the F4 at a nominal price while striking a deal with FMCU to have the X men and mutants in their movies. Remember that seeing Spiderman alongside the Avengers was a nigh impossible dream with two reboots of the Spiderman Sony MCU - SMCU but with the new negotiations between Sony and Disney we get top see our webslinger in Cap 3 Civil War in a brand new avatar (Threeboot anyone?) So what if we assume that Reed Richards (and the Illuminati) must be an essential part of Infinity war (like Spidey in Civil War), We already have Tony, Doctor Strange and Black bolt(coming soon in MAOS S3 presumably as part of the inhumans), so if FMCU agrees we can add Reed and Charles to the group, Namor can pop up in the DMCU as they own the cinematic rights to his movie. With the DMCU FMCU deal through we may get to see Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor X (Woot!!) So enter the world's best and brightest minds who face off against the greatest threat of humanity!
Now all said and done how does DMCU connect with the FMCU and SMCU? This problem has been partially answered in XMDOFP in the form of time travel and the original Avengers movie where the Tesseract or space stone can be used to open portals to alternate dimensions or alternate realities! Imagine if the DMCU was in the mainstream MCU (Earth 616 the primary continuity which was referenced by Dr Erik Selvig in Thor The Dark World as the primary continuity but actually based on the Ultimate Marvel universe ), the FMCU in Ultimate Marvel (Earth 1610 where the X Men exist) and the Tesseract and the timestone's powers combined causes the rifts between dimensions to occur!
Well What do you think of my predictions? Please comment your opinions of the same!
