Coming from the tragedy of her dad committing suicide at the age of 27 and her relationship with her mom, Courtney, being less than stable, it's remarkable how mature and level-headed Frances Bean Cobain has grown up to be. We've watched her blossom from a shy girl to a lovely, independent woman.

Now, she's taken the next step in her life away from her mom: E! News reported that this weekend, Frances Bean got married, and what's more, Courtney Love wasn't invited or even knew about it. Said the source:

Courtney loves Isaiah, but was devastated to learn that Frances had gotten married without her knowing. Courtney really likes Isaiah and is very happy for Frances. Courtney is sad she wasn’t at the wedding.

But really, that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, considering Frances Bean has done as much as possible in her young life to smartly distance herself from the constant drama that revolves around her mom. What IS a surprise is that the guy she married...well...just take a look and tell me if he reminds you of anyone:

I'm not saying he looks an awful lot like Kurt Cobain, but I'm...actually, yeah, I'm saying he looks an awful lot like Kurt Cobain. That is exactly what I'm saying.

Her husband's name is Isaiah Silva, and granted, he and Frances Bean have been together for five years before quietly tying the knot this weekend. Still, it's a bit jarring to look at her new husband and see a lot of similarities between him and the late rock legend, no?

But hey, Frances Bean is well aware of that fact, and she doesn't seem to care:

If she's happy and continuing to carve her own path as an adult, then good for her. Congrats to them, and may they have a happy marriage...and hopefully one slightly less tumultuous than the one her mom and dad had.
