New York Comic Con is a little over a week away, and the anticipation for announcements from DC's TV slate is high -- but is there something unexpected on the horizon? [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870) executive producer Michael Uslan believes there is.
While doing a guest spot on the Fan Theory podcast, Uslan revealed that there's going to be more than just comic and TV news at this year's show. Uslan announced that:
On Saturday October 10th, we plan on making a major announcement... Join us at 1:45 p.m. in one of the large rooms. You won't want to miss what's going to take place there.
As anyone who has been attending New York Comic Con over the past few years can tell you, anything can happen over the course of the show. Last year, George Clooney detoured during his honeymoon (with his exceptionally patient, brilliant new wife Amal) just to show up and chat with Hugh Laurie about Tomorrowland. An announcement on this scale could definitely signal some special guests, or more solidified release dates on future films.
At the moment, there's only one DC-related panel that takes place within the mentioned hour: "Batman: The Bat-Universe".
A “who’s who” of Bat-talent returns to Gotham – err – we mean, New York! Join the various Bat-verse creative teams – Greg Capullo, Amy Chu, Tom King, Khary Randolph, Tim Seeley, Scott Snyder, Peter Tomasi, James Tynion IV – as we explore the “new” Dark Knight’s adventures in the streets of Gotham and beyond! If you’re looking for breaking news and exclusive never-seen-before art, this is the Panel to be at!
Hosted on Empire Stage 1-E, that certainly places the panel in a "big room", and is likely the one to go for if you're looking for more on this mysterious announcement.
