Ralph Lauren has been an integral part of any fashionista's life, including mine. I used to have a bright red Ralph Lauren comforter, I am addicted to Ralph Lauren Blue, and how can we forget his signature bright polos?

One of our favorite TV shows, Friends, also knew the importance of this incredible designer, as he appeared in an episode titled 'The One With Ross's Teeth' in Season 6.

It's been 16 years since he appeared in this episode, and Ralph Lauren has been a phenomenal designer since before even that.

So it seems about time for him to kick his feet up and take a break from all the craziness that comes with being the CEO of his own company. He announced today that he will be stepping down and passing the torch on to Stefan Larsson, who was the former Global President of Old Navy.

Since the company's origins in 1967, Lauren has been a crucial voice for design and execution. Considered one of the main influences over American fashion, he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He will remain as Executive Chairman and Chief Creative Officer.

While we may be able to still expect great looks and styles from Ralph Lauren and his brand, the TV show Friends ended in 2004 and they aren't making any more episodes anytime soon. Womp. Womp. I know.

This just means we'll have to binge watch old episodes over and over again on Netflix, which to be honest, sounds like a perfectly fine time to me.
