Throughout Friends' decade-spanning, 236 episode run, just about every recognizable face in Hollywood took their turn to grab a coffee with the sextet in Central Perk, from a highly infectious Charlie Sheen, to a scarily aggressive Ben Stiller.

Discovering the myriad star cameos in the show was a big part of its appeal, giving all your favorite actors a chance to take on an often eccentric, yet always hilarious minor role, making their mark on one of the greatest TV series of all time. These were some of the best surprise star appearances...

1. John Stamos

Episode: The One with the Donor

Uncle Jesse crossed sitcoms to star as Zack, Chandler's colleague who's unknowingly screened as a sperm donor candidate.

2. Denise Richards

Episode: The One with Ross and Monica's Cousin

Richards made a brief yet memorable appearance as Cassie Geller, Ross and Monica's cousin who turns more than a few a heads.

3. Harry Shearer

Episode: The One with the Fake Monica

Shearer played Dr. Baldharar, the hilariously sleazy 'businessman' who tries to put Ross's monkey in his animal fighting ring.

4. Fred Willard

Episode: The One After the Superbowl: Part 1

Willard also had a run in with Ross's monkey, Marcel, portraying San Diego Zoo's administrator, Dean Lipson.

5. Greg Kinnear

Episode: The One with Ross's Grant

Dr. Benjamin Hobart, who turns out to be one of Ross's heroes also turns out to be his girlfriend's ex.

6. Craig Robinson

Episode: The One with Princess Consuela

Robinson stars as the bemused clerk in charge of changing Phoebe's name to Princess Consuela Bananahammock.

7. Freddie Prinze Jr.

Episode: The One with the Male Nanny

The She's All That star is wonderful as the male nanny, Sandy, before Ross and Rachel begrudgingly fire him.

8. Jane Lynch

Episode: The One Where Estelle Dies

Jane Lynch proves hysterical as always playing Ellen, the realtor showing off the house next door to Monica and Chandler's.

9. Brooke Shields

Episode: The One After the Superbowl: Part 1

Brooke Shields's stint as Joey's crazed, stalker fan, Erika Ford -- who struggles to tell the difference between fact and fiction -- was short but oh so sweet.
