While Marvel is known for having comedic moments within its Marvel Cinematic Universe, both on the big screen and small, it has yet to give us a pure comedy movie or television series.

But that is set to change, as Variety has reported that Marvel is currently developing Damage Control, a comedy series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at ABC.

From the Variety report and the series description:

The Marvel cleaning crew specializes in dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from super hero conflicts. They are the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle or even track down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo. Sometimes the most important super heroes are the ones behind the scenes — and that’s who “Damage Control” will follow.

Apparently, the series had been in development even before [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](tag:722469) by former Cougar Town showrunner Kevin Biegel, but was scrapped when S.H.I.E.L.D. was announced. This version was developed by The Daily Show and Modern Family writer-producer Ben Karlin.

Marvel pitching a workplace comedy is a new one for them, but could be absolutely hilarious with the right team of writers.

Do you think Marvel will succeed venturing into the comedy world?
