Hello readers! Cj here again with one final gif story as our five (more or less) days together have come to an end. Don't worry kiddies I'll still be here just with less gifs. I know, I'm sad to see them go too.
Day 2 was more popular than I thought it was going to be. I honestly thought it'd be deleted the same day. After Monday I'll be working on MoviepilotU so it's going to be a while before I get to talk about anything personal again. Which obviously this is a media news and opinion site I shouldn't have a bunch of articles airing my dirty laundry anyway but I wanted to use this chance to tell you guys another personal story about myself. Hopefully this one is a bit more sunny and happy though. I'd like to tell you a story of:
How I Met My First Serious Girlfriend
My first real serious girlfriend. I've had girlfriends before and I've had girlfriend since but she was definitely the first serious one. The girl I saw a future with. The girl that I said I love you and knew without a doubt that I meant it.
Before the story got there, it had a beginning. It starts with me being in a college that I can't name so let's just call it the worst place ever. It was easily one of the worst experiences I've had but I got a lot of good out of it, met some great people and learned a lot about myself. Still though.
Actually everyone else seemed to love it and I hated it so it was probably more like this.
I was at Worst Place Ever in the commons area playing pool. This tall dark beauty, that I also can't name so let's call her Fate, walked in with her friend.
Fate asked me how much I knew about Math and I've never been great at calculations in Math but when it came to remember formulas and things I was pretty good. I was immediately stricken speechless I don't really remember what I said but she had to have seen me completely nervous as I agreed to tutor her.
It wasn't until later that I realized she had said we were in the same Math class. I was pretty oblivious so I didn't really talk to anyone in my classes and didn't know of anyone being in my classes. Our Math teacher didn't play any games, he had assigned homework the first day and most days we had his class we could expect homework. It wasn't much, he rarely even took the homework, what he did was gave us a quiz at the start of every class on what we should have learned on the homework. If too many people failed the quiz he'd take the homework up. It was important that we know the material.
We met up a few times for tutoring and I started to learn more about her. She was smart, very smart. We had a similar interest in writing, though she wanted less creative writing and more nonfiction. She was funny, a great listener and she seemed extremely caring. She really wanted to help the world. I was immediately lovestruck.
About a week into our studying together she requested me on facebook. After two weeks I got kind of bored around my dorm and put a facebook status saying I wanted someone to watch a movie with. Not really expecting anyone to actually pay it any attention but she did. She commented that she'd be willing to watch movies with me. She was awesome and would watch movies with me, might as well marry her.
We agreed on a time and date. I was there earlier, setting things up in the campus theater. I was absolutely terrified. A friend of mine had mentioned the word date to her and then there was all kinds of extra pressure because we hadn't solidified that it was a date. I got so terrified and nervous I sat two seats away from her the whole time.
I felt like such an idiot afterward. I beat myself up the whole way home.
Then she texted me.
It was still barely afternoon, we met up pretty early in the day to watch the movie. She invited me to hang out in her dorm room.
Of course I wasn't going to pass that up. We watched another movie. Actually it was the movie we were supposed to watch originally before we ended up choosing another movie at the last minute. I just knew this time was going to go as bad as the last one.
I could barely focus on the movie because I had this beautiful girl next to me. All I could think of the whole time was
But I had to be careful. She was a lot more mature than the girls I'd dated previously. This was college and a whole new experience. I had to play it cool or it'd end badly for me.
I slowly began to realize that she had invited me into her room. Alone. She had to like me. A girl like her liked a guy like me.
I got more bold.
And more bold
Then it happened.
I could have died happy right there.
Nothing was quite as incredible as that kiss.
Then there was a knock at her door and it was time for me to go and her to resume her duties to the students. We made it "facebook official" that night.
Our relationship had a lot of ups
And a lot of downs
She helped me get through a lot, especially when I was diagnosed with depression.
I like to think I helped her get through some things too.
No matter what happened between us, I'll always be thankful that she was there for me when I needed her. She taught me a lot about myself and reminded me that I can want more for myself. She raised my standards for whom I choose to spend my time with. She'll always hold a special place in my memories.
I hope you guys enjoyed my gif story this time, and all the other ones. If you're just now joining me here's a link to the other days.
I'm sure there will be many great challenges in the future; for this challenge, my time is over.
I know I'm sad too, although I was running out of ideas to go this with. The scenarios are great but I couldn't find any inspiration from them. I had to make them my own so this one partially took from the date going better than expected. I just added onto it. Speaking of scenarios.
Here is the list of scenarios to choose from if you want to make your own:
- An awkward family film viewing
- A date that didn't go well OR exceeded expectations
- Watching an emotional film :'-(
- Watching your first Rated-R film
- A horror flick that you were NOT ready for and/or haunted you for days after
- When you have high expectations for a film and it flops
- Binge watching a TV series when you KNOW you should go to sleep
- Watching a film and everyone else around you is on their phones/being obnoxious
- That moment when you DIDN'T see the plot twist coming
- Watching a film that's got you laughing uncontrollably
- MAKE UP YOUR OWN!
