News of the live-action Power Rangers movie continues to make my nostalgic heart backflip with glee, and now we are finally seeing the faces of the young actors who are testing to wriggle into the iconic suits.
So, slam on the obligatory Power Rangers music below to get you in the mood and scroll on to meet the next generation of teenagers who will harness the power of the Zords!
Black Ranger, a.k.a Zack
In the original TV series, the black ranger was a charismatic and fun-loving character who was also quick-witted and a bit of a hit with the ladies.
In battle he relied on his intelligence, skill with weaponry and agility to beat his opponents into submission, but could you see any of the actors below filling his esteemed boots?
Where might I have seen him? By far Zovatto's most critically acclaimed work so far is playing Greg in the horror blockbuster It Follows, but you might also recognize him from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Beneath and Laggies.
Where might I have seen him? Butler is most recognizable from the Disney Channel show, K.C. Undercover, but you might also recognize him from TV movies such as Teen Beach 2 and Perfect High.
Brian "Sene" Marc
Where might I have seen him? Although Marc has some acting roles under his belt and a few more in the pipeline, including the upcoming Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman directed Nerve. Right now though, he is probably best known for his music career as one half of 'Denitia and Sene.'

Red Ranger, a.k.a Jason
A martial arts fanatic with a passion of honing his craft, the Red Ranger was the leader of the Power Rangers clan in the original TV show.
With a jockish personality hiding a big ol' heart, Red Ranger is your typical teenager who also just happens to be able to harness the power of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, but which actor below can you see lifting the Mega Sword?
Where might I know him from? You probably don't, unless you happen to be from New Zealand! After starting his career as Kane in the NZ soap, Shortland Street, Apa nabbed himself a role in the upcoming DreamWorks production A Dog's Purpose and seems to be heading for the big time!
Where might I know him from? Best known for his TV work in The Carrie Diaries, Zoey 101 and Life Unexpected, Butler is also breaking into the movie industry, notably with Kevin Smith's Yoga Hosers. Along with acting, Butler is a singer and a model so you might have seen his suave good looks in glossy editorial spreads as well as the silver screen.
Where might I know him from? So far, this up-and-coming Aussie actor's only big role has been on Disney's Descendants.
Who would you rather see as Red Ranger?
Pink Ranger, a.k.a Kimberly
Soaring into our hearts as Pink Ranger, Kimberly was the first crush of swathes of my generation and a killer gymnast who knew how to kick ass with her moves in combat to boot.
Kimberly dealt out some seriously sarcastic put downs to her enemies, but always had a kind word or a light-hearted quip for her friends, but who do you think is worthy of donning her iconic hot pink threads?
Where might I know her from? Starting off in TV with leading roles in Life Bites and Terra Nova, Scott is beginning to make it on the big screen after appearing in Ridley Scott's The Martian.
Where might I know her from? Scott is best known for her roles as Lexi Reed on Disney Channel's A.N.T. Farm, Dana Tressler in the film Flipped and Quinn Brenner in [Insidious: Chapter 3](tag:1117428).
Who would you like to see as Pink Ranger?
So far there is no news about who is in the running to become either the Yellow or Blue Ranger, but Variety reports that they will probably be fresh faces who are so far unknown in the industry.
Variety also reports that Lionsgate will probably look for a big name to play the villain in the movies, though no offers have yet been made for the part.
