Hasbro has just announced big plans for their mega-successful Transformers franchise with four more films set to smash their way onto our screens over the next ten years. This is great news for fans of mechanical mayhem, science fiction, and intense CGI, like this:
Hasbro chief Stephen J. Davis recently revealed the plans to evolve the Transformers franchise, revealing:
You’re going to see a new Transformers movie coming from Hasbro and Paramount and Michael Bay and our other partners. In fact, we just finished, as some of you may have read, just an incredible experience. We decided that we wanted to plot out the next 10 years of the Transformers franchise, so we got together in a room over a three-month period of time.
However, whether Bay will return to direct the new movie or simply come on board as a producer is still unconfirmed after the director tweeted:
It's safe to speculate that Paramount will seek to recruit Bay for Transformers 5, especially considering the incredible success of Transformers: Age of Extinction, which grossed an incredible $1 billion globally.
With the next ten years mapped-out for the Transformers franchise we can expect an explosion of new stories and characters gracing the cinema screens and I'm really hoping we finally get to see Hotrod, Primus, or even Unicron make their franchise debuts.
