Over the next five years, we''re going to be getting the following DC movies: Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Green lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam and Cyborg. Quite a lot isn't it? Yet, there is one DC Character who hasn't been announced but should and that's Hawkman.

Hawkman was created in 1940 and is arguably still one of the most creative characters they have made. Hawkman is known for the use of ancient weaponry (mace, axe, sword, shield) and armour made from the special Nth metal that allows flight as well as wings. Most incarnations of Hawkman work closely with a partner/romantic Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman.

There have been a few versions of the character which have complicated his story a bit because it deals with reincarnation. Personally I would go with the alien space cop that crash lands on earth and helps defend it. Which makes his story unique and different also to the fact that he and his wife Hawkgirl both reincarnate. But she most of the time doesn't remember her past lives so he has to convince that this is the truth. Which is a very different type of story which a superhero movie hasn't done before.

What also makes him a good character to bring in he can fight Superman. Thanks to his Nth meta,l he can effectively take on superman in a fight with his expert hand to hand combat and weapon skills. This is what the Justice League needs, another experienced warrior but one who would not hesitate to kill you!

Hawkmans Main villain is a character called The Shadow Thief there’s many versions of this character as well but I would say a mafia boss approach is the best way to convey him. He is a master thief and stole technology allowing him to become a Shadow at will. Which for Hawkman a villain you can’t solve by hitting and have to outsmart is very clever because he has to adapt to overcome him. If it was me, The Shadow Thief would be playing psychological mind games on Hawkman because as a shadow he can spy on him, find out his secret identity, steal his technology ect.

I'm not the only one who thinks a Hawkman movie could work. Back in 2011 DC started development on a movie but nothing has been heard since. The movie was supposed to be a mixture of Indiana Jones and the Da Vinci code, which is an interesting concept to say the least.
